Best alphabet book ever. Can't wait to add this book to my daughters library. I got to see an early copy of this and it is so well done. A must for anyone who appreciates the history, art and culture of the hip hop movement.
Saw the cover, knew I had to buy it. I loved how it was a mix of everything 20th century and before. I have to admit, I'm the slightest bit disappointed that D wasn't Dr. Dre, but at the same time, DJ'ing is apart of the culture... perhaps it should have been a 2-parter? Same goes with E and Eazy E.
As someone who loves picture books AND hip hop, this book is pretty darn good. A foreword from DMC is diggity dope. Most of the rappers mentioned write lyrics that that are perhaps not too kid-friendly, so the choices kind of surprised me.
