It started with single comic book. Jeremy’s mother was determined to make a reader out of him. Shunning traditional literature at a young age, his mother placed X-Men Classic #69 in his lap and for the first time he was exposed to the phrases, “Mutants,” “BAMF,” and “SNIKT.” He is still waiting for his acceptance letter to the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters at 1407 Graymalkin Lane.

Despite voraciously consuming anything by R.A. Salvatore, Mercedes Lackey, and Laurel K. Hamilton, his first love remains the superheroes in comic books. Because of this he has written multiple series in the dystopian superhero universe, the Children of Nostradamus. He is a fan of fast-paced action, the darker side of humanity and incredibly snarky dialogue.

Jeremy became known as a geek before it was a trend. During college Jeremy would be shortened to Remy as friends discovered his goal of reading every X-Men comic. Being able to explain the many incarnations of Jean Grey and her alternate-dimensional children remains a badge of honor.

When not pounding away at the keyboard he is… nevermind, he’s always at his keyboard working on the next novel.

Morning Sun, the first novel in the Children of Nostradamus series, is quite unexpected to be this astonishing. It is a prelude to the series which narrates the stories of each mentalists or the so-called children of Nostradamus, and it also compiles all the individual letters of the psychic Eleanor to them.

Some of these extraordinary people possessed different kind of special abilities, just like the power to become invisible or super strength, which the government tries to suppressed. Because of this, they have to hide their identity or they will be subject to the government's experimentation.

If you enjoy reading suspense and action-pack scenarios as much as I do, then this book is for you to devour. This introduction of these children of Nostradamus was incredibly written and you'll certainly want to read the succeeding book, Nighthawks, after you're done reading this.

Just brilliant

What I brilliant way of giving us readers an insight to the begins of the nighthawks and the way Eleanor shaped the future. Thoroughly enjoyed the snippets of each persons life prior to becoming what they where destined to become . whether you read prior to the first book or after it really doesn't matter as it is stand alone but it is a must .

I love a good superhero story but they are often geared toward teenagers. Jeremy Flagg has used his pen to craft a world of superpowered people that appeals to the kid in me while also satisfying my craving for more mature fare.

If you are expecting Morning Sun to be set up like most books, be prepared for something slightly different. As a reader, this variation stood out to me as something that made the book unique and interesting.

Jeremy Flagg offers a set of short stories here that fill in the details of characters. I have not read his other work (I plan to), and I still enjoyed this book as a standalone.

Kickass! Morning Sun is a collection of stories linking together the Children of Nostradamus, humans who's latent mutant abilities have begun to surface. These are the backstories of the heroes of Flagg's Nighthawks, Children themselves, an unlikely grouping of heroes. This added dimension to the characters is not only edgy, sarcastic, and downright action-packed fun; it deepens the shadows of these future heroes. Fans of the series will love the added depth. If you haven't checked out Flagg's world post-Nostradamus effect? This will be the perfect intro!

Lovers of superheroes, of fight scenes, of crime fighting and corruption extermination: go forth and buy!
