Jesse Nash has seen more trouble in the last year that in all the previous years of his life combined. And he's more than ready for some good times. He'd planned on retiring from the Rodeo circuit, but his family needed money and the Rodeo was his best bet of a big payday. And it paid off – in more ways that one. Not only did he take home the buckle and the purse as All Around Cowboy at Nationals, but he met someone – someone who has him thinking about more than a quick roll in the hay. The problem is, the woman he is interested in, Carly Marsh, wants nothing to do with love and commitment. A quick roll in the hay? That she can do. The tables are turned and Jesse isn’t quite sure how to deal with it. But he’ll figure it out and somehow convince Carly there are somet things worth taking a chance on. Like love. And him.
Ciana Stone has been reading since the age of three, and wrote her first story at age five. Since then she enjoyed writing as a solitary form of entertainment, before coming out of the closet to share her stories with others. She holds several post graduate degrees and has often been referred to as a professional student. Her latest fields of interest are quantum mechanics and Taoism. When she is not writing (or studying) she enjoys painting (canvas, not walls), sculpting, running, hiking and yoga. She lives with her longtime lover in several locations in the United States.
It is great. This is the third Nash brother, Jesse's story. He met Carly on her ranch in Arizona when he was competing for the finals. Her older brother had served with Jed when he was in the Rangers when he was younger. Colton, Carly's brother, had heard about the problem the Nash brothers were having and loaned them money to help. Colton had bought a ranch near them and asked his sister to sell her ranch in Arizona and get the neighbouring ranch where she could be near family. Her mother and grandmother had recently died and she had nothing keeping her in Arizona and took her brother up on the offer. Meanwhile, they have found out that the Manning's are behind all their problems. They think it is Rob but Rob is also having bad things happening to him from his step-mother, who he believes killed his father. After a fight in Alex's apartment, where Alex and Rob are shot and Jesse framed for it, Alex ends up in coma, Ron's aunt brings him a video that shows that Jesse was framed. Rob finally goes to the Nash ranch and tells and shows the video and who is behind everything.
Along with the first 2 books of this series and the 3 books in the connected series, this book takes Western Romance to a whole new level. Not only are there hot cowboys, but there are paranormal elements and a mystery to figure out. This romance was a bit quicker and easier than the first two, but there is so much happening and secrets being unearthed until the final climax when everything is revealed and the characters find they are even more connected than they knew. It was an adventure to be sure and im so glad I stumbled upon these books.
Wow, this ties up some loose ends but not all. The plot thickens and is focused on the suspense of these families, their connections and paranormal abilities. I was surprised that the author matched Jesse up Carly yet the reasons being become very obvious. Another great story, there has to be more though because this seems to be the end, there is enough hype to the mystery for there to be a new beginning trough some of others characters getting a chance to tell their stories.
Final book in the three book series. Again, it’s a short book so not a lot of depth. The storyline is wrapped up with a few surprises. Extremely disappointing ending as the major villain never gets dealt with. I guess there’s the implication she is dealt with but that’s a lame thing for the reader to deal with given the build up of the evil plan through all three books.
Such an interesting and enthralling storyline. I did not want to put the book down. All of the characters are well developed an interesting and work well with in the storyline. The downside is editing and that has just a minor to traction from the story. I will enjoy rereading this series in the future.
