I had to go back to her old catalog after reading two of Ms. Barton's new releases just to remember why I was such a fan of her work. 'Brayden' is the first book in her "The Stanton Pack" series that I hadn't been able to read until now. In this book, we meet the Stanton family consisting of their mother and father plus six sons. This book is the story of how Brayden found and met his mate, Dane. The drama and intrigue following Dane are palpable. If you've read the blurb you'll know she's woken to realize she has no idea who she is or why she knows she is hiding. Brayden is a billionaire inventor who is classified as a philanthropist. He's been building houses for the needy worldwide and has spent the last months in Africa. When problems and frustrations hit his limit he called it quits and came home … with a fiancé that wasn't his mate. Things went to "h e double hockey stick" in a hurry after he proposed. Now he has to find a way to get out of the mess he's inadvertently found himself in. It's a great story with an exciting segue into Christian's story coming next.

Very Good!
Julian Stanton found an injured woman who didn’t want to go to the hospital; so instead he took her to his father who is a retired doctor.
Jane as she was calling herself because she couldn’t remember anything; probably because of her head wound, had been shot many times & was trying to get out of the building that she had found herself in when she came across Julian.
Brayden was on his way home with someone he thought that he would marry; that is until she showed her true colors. & once he got home not only did he not want to marry her because of her true colors but also because he met Jane & knew that she was his mate.
After talking with Jane to try to help her get her memory back she does. But, you’ll now have to read the book to find out who she is & how this story plays out.
This book was very good in the good vs bad plot, the helping out from the family & the sex scenes. I will be reading the next book in this series.

She woke up injured and with no clue who she truly was, nor what had happened to her, therefore making her a Jane Doe. Thankfully, she meets Julian, a nice man that helps her seek medical attention. Julian, understanding she must have her reasons for not wanting to go to a hospital, takes her to his Dad, a former doctor who still sees patients from time to time.
Brayden has never been one to sit back and bask in his wealth. He's always referred creating items to help people, whether it be gadgets to help the disabled have more freedom in their own home, or by assisting in building homes for those less fortunate. However, his current excursion has not only made him question the actions of the organization he's working with, but also deepened the loneliness he's been feeling. Unfortunately, the latter caused him to make a rash decision with a woman that isn't his mate and now he's struggling to rectify
Brayden returns home, for good this time, but he's not alone. He's bringing home a parasite, err his fiancée, Vonda. Though Brayden knew almost immediately after proposing that he'd made a mistake, but is unsure how to resolve his problem. There's also the fact that Vonda seems wanted for questioning regarding a crime, one that doesn't seem too far-fetched as her true personality starts is revealed, along with her lack of reality.
Jane is slowly recovering not only her health, but also her memories. She's remembered her actual name, Dane, and in the process has acquired a mate as Brayden recognized her immediately upon seeing her. Unfortunately, he has a fiancee and Dane, knowing now who and what she is and has done, believes she doesn't deserve love, but Brayden refuses to let her go.
Can Brayden and Dane work through all the obstacles standing in the way of their happiness? Who is Dane? What is she? Can Brayden and his family help her find justice against those who tried to kill her? Is she safe? Are Brayden and his family? Is Vonda guilty of the crime the police believe she is? I loved every page of this story. It should probably come as no surprise to anyone who follows my reviews that I am a huge fan of Kathi S Barton.

Loved it
Great start to a new series. Brayden is the oldest of the Stanton brothers. Very smart, wealthy, an engineer and inventor he spends his time volunteering, making peoples lives better. Lately he has been lonely and missing family. He decides to take a mate, even if she is not his true mate. He quickly realizes she is not the women he thought she was.
Dane is a multi shifter who after being left for dead has a far wholes in her memory. She is found by Julian Stanton and taken to his family for care. His instincts tell him she is important and he needs to protect her.
Brayden has a problem. He just found his mate, in his parents basement. The women he was going to marry is crazy and he can't seem to make her understand the wedding is off. His mate's memory is slowly coming back and want she remembers doesn't leave her in a good light.
Loved Brayden and Dane. Can't wait for Christian and Allie. Looks like the Stanton brothers are destined to find mates that can kick their asses!

Another series that starts off with a bang and leaves you wanting more. I always love the female characters that Ms. Barton creates, they are mysterious, dangerous and don't take crap from anyone. Dane wakes up without her memory, wounded and desperately needs help. Good thing the Stanton pack was there to help her. Brayden is to smart for his own good but really sucks at picking women. Coming home with a fiancé from hell he finds his mate hurt in his family home. One male + two females makes for some interesting reading as he struggles to correct this problem. This is the first book so there is a lot of information and character introduction, however it does not take away from the engaging storyline. It seems like a pattern, but the first female mate introduced in a series always seems to be a Bad A@@ and quickly becomes the favorite as the others are introduced. This is a fast moving storyline, easy to read and has interesting characters. I can't wait to see where this author goes with series and eagerly await the next book.

New paranormal romance series by a wonderful author....The Stanton's are a family of cougar shifters and first to find his mate is brother Brayden.....he has returned home to stay for good, missing his family too much. Hot cougar shifter Brayden encounters a beautiful female in his parents basement clinic. Boy is he in for a wild experience.
Dane is found injured by a Stanton brother and brought to the family home to be helped and protected. There turns out to be much more to this female than meets the eye....not human, yet almost more than your average shifter too.
This was an incredibly exciting read to say the least. I was very intrigued by the Dane character and what she is and can do. I really look forward to reading more in this series.

This story was okay it took me awhile to get into it. Brayden was soft spoken & kind of quiet. Dane was the total opposite she was kind of an alpha female & didn't take no crap. it was different but I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

What an awesome start to what I am hoping is going to be another amazing series!
Brayden is lonely. Instead of waiting for his mate, he's found himself settling for Vonda. On his way home he's seeing a completely different side to Vonda than what he thought he could live with. To make matters worse, after getting to his parents house he's discovered the Jane Doe his father is nursing back to health is his mate.
Talk about a predicament!
Jane Doe (aka Dane) has woken up and has no idea who she is, where she might be, or how she was injured. Making her way out of the building she woke up in, she's helped by a man that for some reason she trusts. As Dane's memories start to return she finds that she's not the typical woman, and she's definitely not the kind of woman a guy like Brayden should be marrying.
I absolutely love Brayden. He's not like your typical male that we are used to reading from Kathi. While he does what he can to try and protect his mate, he's not over the top, beat on his chest macho man. He knows that Dane can protect herself and probably him better than he could ever imagine.
I can't wait to see how Christian reacts to finding his mate next!

Not up to the author's usual standards
I have been a fan of Kathi S. Martin's work for years. Some books have had editing problems but the story was always worth it. For the first time, I can day that I don't think it was worth it.
Brandon had the usual editing problems but on top of , was a host of storyline headaches. At times I almost felt as though I was reading two different stories that had been mixed together.

Well what a start to a series from Kathi!
I expected nothing different from the strong charters and gripping story throughout with a few twists and turns.
"Jane Doe" waits up with no memory and very hurt but knows she can not get help the normal way. She is found and taken tho the Stanton Pack home to be fixed up and looked after.
Brayden is a very kind hearted man who is too smart for his own good but makes the wrong choice in women to bring home to the Stanton Pack housetops meet his family.
Dane is no longer a "Jane Doe" and is starting to get her memory back when she meets Brayden.
This story has a love triangle, strong family morals and it shows the slow build up of love, trust and understanding between Dane and Brayden. I cannot wait for the next book in the series to come out.
