Neurological Therapy Combining Alternative Techniques – Online Training
The Neurological Therapy Combining Alternative Techniques – Online Training provides rehabilitation professionals with the resources to include alternative therapies into their neurological rehabilitation practice. This course is geared towards physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and holistic health professionals, who want to diversify their clinical practice.
We will begin each module with neurological anatomy, principles of neuroplasticity, and an assessment process of neurological conditions with a focus on stroke, Parkinsonian types, multiple sclerosis, and neuropathies. HD demonstrations of the assessments will include assessments of tone (hypertonicity/hypotonicity), assessments of proprioception (postural/stand-to-sit), assessments of coordination, and assessments of functional mobility.
The therapeutic intervention modules will cover a variety of alternative techniques from myofascial release and craniosacral therapy to reflex integration, neuro-yoga, therapeutic meditation, and sensory re-education to influence the functioning of a nervous system. We have included manual therapy demonstrations of gentle mobilisation techniques, neural mobilisation, and soft tissue release to optimise the performance of motor function.
Special sessions will explore how to create holistic neurological therapy programs that combine traditional rehabilitation with complementary modalities to improve motor recovery, balance, cognition, and emotional wellbeing. Each module has interactive quizzes, and participants can download all protocols and reflect on their own practical case to help integrate learning into their practice.
This course is delivered entirely online, with self-paced access for the learning and practice components. It is suitable for professionals who are ready to confidently integrate holistic approaches into their neurological rehabilitation practice. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate of completion for neurological therapy combining alternative techniques to continue developing their therapeutic skills, flexibility https://www.e-physioneeds.com/courses...
