Shortcuts Through The Shadows

Rate this book
First collection of previously published work by the author. Tip-toe into the twilight to experience a few giggles, gasps and plenty of goosebumps with twisted little tales of vengeance, lethal loyalty, the worst hangover, demons, possession, werewolves, premonitions, pranks gone wrong, betrayal and even a murder or two. Not explicitly gory.

In an Oyster Shell – A collection of short stories that will leave you with goosebumps.

The Pearls – This is a collection of short stories that are imaginative. They are a little on the dark side. The author is not afraid to explore the dark twists of life. I was a little afraid to read these stories before bedtime. They are impressive stories that leave an impact on the reader. You will have a reaction to this collection whether its a shiver of the spine or a chuckle at the irony that the author exploits generously.

The writing was eloquent. The word choice was diverse. The cadence was rhythmic, well composed. The plots of the stories were concise and well executed. There were lots of stories to read. There was great diversity among the tales.

My favorite among the stories was the last short story that was almost a Novella. It was the longest of the stories and could have easily lead into a novel. The character development was strong. The story concept was unique and well delivered.

This collection of stories may leave you leaving a light on in the darkest hours. It’s an entertaining read none the less.

An entertaining collection of stories with interesting twists. My favorites were "Maybe Karma, Maybe Murder" and the novella "Mehitable's Gift" but ALL of the stories were enjoyable. I'd recommend this collection for anyone who loves a few goosebumps with their reading.
