A collection of fourteen stories on classic Christian themes features works by John Cheever, Flannery O'Connor, Graham Greene, G.K. Chesterton, Oliver Goldsmith, Thomas Hardy, and Robert Louis Stevenson.
Stories from classic writers of fiction, including Dickens, Gaskill, Chekov, Wilde, Chesterton, O'Conner -- and several more. While some of the stories miss the mark a little, in my opinion, there is some excellent writing showcased in this anthology. My favorites: "The Three Eras of Libby Marsh" (Elizabeth Gaskill), "The Outcasts of Poker Flat" (Bret Harte), and "The Selfish Giant" (Oscar Wilde).
