Another book that was way better than the movie. Loved the stories. Wish they would make a movie about the sound of the bells, very different from the Disney movie

It's been a long time since I read a book I enjoyed as much as this one. The stories are a sheer delight - witty, poignant and true to life. There's even a shiver of horror to them. These are the tales of an Ireland that probably never existed, but that we all believe in - leprechauns, ghosts, the Devil on the prowl, scolding wives, intoxicated husbands and lots and lots of trickery. Read it. Preferably now.

Can't be read in long sittings (or too short either - the stories aren't formatted like that). Definitely fun to read, and perhaps important to read since many legends of their kind are simply disappearing into the mist.
