I didn’t just read it, I performed it. This book took me to the State finals In Storytelling when I was a freshman on my high school forensics team. Fond memories of a super-fun story.

The story of a flannel shirt that shrinks with each sousing, and dousing, and hanging in the sun to dry. It is passed down from Elbert to Sarah to Janie, and finally down to Wilbur, who used the shrinking shirt as a security blanket.
