What do you think?

An Alternate History of the Third Reich: Vol. 1: Empire Ascendant, 1940-50
History is a catalog of past decisions. The leaders who participated in World War II made several decisions and if one were to change this or that, things could have turned out quite differently. This is a “what if” historical fiction about the ascendancy of the Axis powers from 1940-50. It’s a book about what the world may have looked like if the Axis Powers (Germany, Italy, Japan, etc.) would have achieved its goals. Imagine if, for example, Spain would have joined the Axis in 1940 and instead of attacking the Soviet Union in 1941, Germany, Italy, Vichy France, and Spain would have driven the British from the Mediterranean? Imagine if Japan would have attacked British and Dutch targets in 1940 without attacking the U.S.? Imagine Germany invading Britain while still at peace with the Soviet Union or Japan attacking the Soviet Union in conjunction with its Axis allies and the U.S. and British Canada sending forces to help combat them in Siberia. These and other “what if” scenarios are played out in full detail.

Belongs in the fantasy section
Even with the caveats listed at the beginning this book is hard to swallow. No allowances are made for the amount of industry necessary to maintain a miltary in near continuous combat. No military (even Napoleon at his best)wins all the time. And some how the German blue water navy which was never very numerous always manages to "scrape" together enough ships to support the next invasion.

For real?
Overly simplified. Reads like it was written by a 12 year old overnight for school. Half of the time it doesn't even make sense. I thought up better stories at 12.
