The Absent-Minded Toad

Rate this book
A rhyming tale about a toad who travels to the outdoor market, only to discover upon his return home that he has neglected to pick up the items on his grocery list. He does manage, however, to have a spectacularly wonderful time perusing the venue and mingling with fellow customers.

Toad goes to the bustling and beautiful market and is enamored of all the sights and sounds. When he gets home he realizes he forgot to purchase his staples. It is easy to relate to this kind of distraction! I would pair this with DON’T FORGET THE BACON by Pat Hutchins. In that book, the boy’s shopping list gets all mixed up in his memory.
