The Immaculate Heart of Mary and God's Plan for America

Rate this book
We are witnessing grave evils - such as public Satanism - that we never thought we would live to see. The country is in a mess; families are falling apart and children are succumbing to the snares of the immoral popular culture.

These evils happen because the world has rejected devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. At Fatima, after the terrible vision of Hell, Our Lady said, "You have seen Hell where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish in the world devotion to my Immaculate Heart." Despite Our Lady's words, devotion to her Immaculate Heart is insufficiently known. And so, many souls go to Hell and the world suffers on.

The Immaculate Heart of Mary and God's Plan for America aims to make devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary known, loved and practiced. It explains the beauty of this devotion and what we need to do to practice it. It also shows why this devotion is the solution to our seemingly unsolvable problems.

A good simple book on Our Lady of Fatima. I appreciate most the part about God’s mercy and judgement and how Our Lady hates sin and the consequences of war and sin that Our Lady of Fatima was trying to prevent. Our Lady of Fatima shows us how much God loves us through His holy Mother and that to show us we love Him we should listen to her. “In the end my Immaculate Heart will triumph.” No matter what happens in the end victory belongs to God alone and it will be through Mary most holy.

"Man himself, consecrated in the name of God and given to God, is a sacrifice to the extent that he dies to the world in order to live for God." said St. Augustine. So, we begin this review with the knowledge that the Virgin Mary "in being free from sin requires a most abundant grace. Even with the privilege of being exempted from original sin, remaining completely free from sin would not have been possible without extraordinary help from God. That is why the Archangel Gabriel greeted Mary saying she was full of grace!' ( Luke 1:28) "Being "full of grace" implies having taken sanctity to the highest degree of "perfection". Mary is thus most holy." ..says this book which also goes on to state that "our salvation sprang from the love and sufferings of Jesus Christ to which the love and sorrows of His Mother were intimately united. Mary who gave birth to our savior according to the flesh, and was associated with him in recalling the children of Eve to the life of divine grace has deservedly been hailed as the spiritual Mother of the whole human race." Which is why it is my duty as her son and knight that I should serve my Lady and defend her honor. It is my duty to stand up for her and publicly express my disgust when she is the target of a "debauched and sacrilegious mockery" as she was last summer, and those who should have known better were silent and said nothing. It was everyone's duty to say something because as Solimeo writes here " When Mary agreed to become the Mother of God, she agreed to be our spiritual mother, too. The "perfect" love she has for her Son, who came to redeem us, is joined to His love in offering his life for us."

Now, having said that, this book is best read by everybody on their own individual terms, so they can take away what is most meaningful to them, as they navigate their own separate lives. I am not one to force my religious views on anybody, as in my opinion, however and through whatever religion an individual chooses to find God, it is all a wonderful choice that someone makes in their lives. As long as you find God, in whatever way you find is best for you, I believe that God welcomes all, and I am not one to say everybody needs to believe what I do. I am a Catholic, however, and one who has been immersed in my faith since I was a small child, and as such I have very strong beliefs along with a devotion to God and the Virgin Mary, so I have grown weary of those within my faith, and of other religious faiths- now redefining God's word and teachings in a way that I feel is incorrect, untrue, and in such a way that they are leading others astray. Instead of a review this short read is going to allow me to address my frustration and dismay at the decline and moral decay of America as it has lost it's way and teeters on the precipice of collapse.

There are some individuals who have reinterpreted the Bible and God's teachings into some sort of "New Age" Christian philosophy either within my Catholic faith or outside of it, that seems to have been designed by surfer dudes hanging out in California at Big Sur, instead of by individuals who truly understand God's relationship with his children on earth. It's self medication for self involved individuals who can't stop thinking about themselves as the center of the universe. There is among these individuals promoting this "New Age" philosophy the translation that because God is all merciful and all forgiving, that no matter what wrongs or sin that people commit that God will forgive you, show mercy,, and it is not necessary to live a good life in order to enter his Kingdom after death. This is religion for people who don't want to put the work or effort into living life the way God asked and intended. It's like a lawyers' way of finding a loophole in God's love that best serves their interests, because they lack discipline. While no human can live without committing sin, it is like they have designed a "free pass" to heaven, just like in Monopoly, and it distorts God's love, mercy, and forgiveness in a way that he did not intend, so let us set the record straight here verbatim from page 95 of this book which is as follows and I quote- "In fact, there is much talk about mercy, but little said about the Justice of God, causing many to get a notion of mercy as being separate from Divine justice. With that, people indulge in a life of sin or at least one of unconcern about eternal salvation. Therefore, as we explain Our Lady's love for both God's mercy and his justice, it is very timely to reproduce here the fiery words of the great St. Alphonsus de Liguori in one of his sermons: "But God is merciful." Behold another common delusion by which the devil encourages sinners to persevere in a life of sin! A certain author has said that more souls have been sent to hell by the mercy of God than by His justice. This is indeed the case for men are induced by the deceits of the devil to persevere in sin, through confidence in God's mercy; and thus they are lost. God is merciful. Who denies it? But, great as his mercy is, how many does he every day send to hell? God, is merciful, but He is also just, and is, therefore, obliged to punish those who offend him. And "his mercy", says the divine mother, extends "to them that fear him (Luke 1:50.) But, with regard to those who abuse His mercy and despise Him. He exercises justice. The Lord pardons sins, but he cannot pardon the determination to commit sin. Saint Augustine says, that he who sins with the intention of repenting after his sins, is not a penitent but a scoffer. Irrisor est non poenitens. But the Apostle tells us that "God will not be mocked." Be not deceived; "God is not mocked." (Gal. 6:7) It would be a mockery of God to insult him as often and as much as you pleased, and afterwards to expect external glory.

This book continues to state on page 93 that 'some may wonder how God's kindness is consistent with the announcement of a punishment for humanity. The twofold purpose of divine punishment on this earth is to make reparation for God's offended justice and to bring sinners to repentance and conversion(this is the "remedial" aspect of punishment.) This tome continues "Since the love of God in the blessed Mother is most "perfect" it cannot be limited to divine mercy but must also extend to God's justice, as both are attributes of God. And since in God everything is "perfect", Divine Justice is as worthy of adoration as all his other attributes. St. Thomas Aquinas teaches that Divine Justice and Mercy are so linked together that one does not exist without the other. Mercy is active even when justice punishes an unrepentant sinner with the pains of hell. While not preventing the execution of the sentence, mercy makes the reprobate suffer less than he deserves. The Virgin Mary's love for God's mercy and justice is why she herself came to warn of the divine punishment if men did not stop offending God." This is the idea that we are all responsible for our actions which in decades before- mature adults accepted and understood. In today's world many have trouble understanding that we are responsible for our deeds on earth, and there is no "free pass" to avoid having to weigh our actions on earth. "Mercy and Justice resemble two sisters, inseparable and holding each other by the hand. Wherever mercy is, there also is justice; where justice goes, mercy follows. Hence King David sang to God: Mercy and judgment I will sing to thee. O'Lord." the passage concludes on page 94.

This leads to the subject of devotion to God which is something America needs to get back to. Solimeo writes on page 39 that Aquinas teaches that "devotion is the will to give oneself readily to the service of God and to unite oneself entirely to Him. Devotion is powered by a twofold consideration of the Divine Perfection: God's love for us and our need of this love given our extreme weakness in all things. Thus devotion should not just lead us to adoration and veneration, and to the service of God and the Saints, but it should help us to imitate them as much as possible." This is the road that America should follow, and when we did follow our Judeo- Christian roots-the country prospered although we never achieved perfection which no nation does, and again perfection only exists in heaven. America has strayed from this path, and as Solimeo writes on page 84 is now following a path of "State preeminence over the individual, total control over education and the economy , the worship of force, and the amoral tenet that the end justifies the means." This focus on the state in the USA is taking advantage of mentally weak, fragile people in the country who need truth and love which can only come from God. God's truth and love can and will heal, but it takes time- and is not an easy road to grace and understanding so the instant gratification that that the forces of the state offer now have become more attractive to those whose pain needs easing and understandably so. This placebo being offered is an illusion and a band aid to a crisis of the heart and soul in America, and in time it's effects wane only to leave more emptiness behind. Solimeo points this out on page 75 when he writes that "the world is plunging deeper into chaos and anarchy. Sadly we see moral and doctrinal confusion even in the Church. " Solimeo mentions on page 69 that the world must learn that "Divine Providence directs history according to it's plans. Though these plans may not always be understandable to us on this earth, Providence never forces man's free will. Sometimes the action of God seems too slow to us, and we have difficulty distinguishing the progress of good, as it is seemingly intertwined with the spread of evil. Pope Pius the 12 wrote that "the evil in the world has attempted to disintegrate the intellectual, moral, and social unity in the mysterious organism of Christ. It has sought nature without grace, reason without faith, freedom without authority, and at times authority without freedom."

To those with faith like I- who worry about the trajectory of today's world, I say not only pray to God, but to my blessed Virgin Mother, Mary, and try and promise to do everything we can for her. Ask her protection and as Pope Benedict said "in a special way we entrust to Mary those peoples and nations that are in particular need, confident that she will not fail to heed the prayers we make to her with filial devotion. " She is the mother of Divine Grace.

In conclusion for those who may disagree with me, are agnostic, or non believers I ask you to consider this. A year ago at this time, a day after Easter Sunday 2020- the current Governor of New York State wanting to take credit for progress in fighting the coronavirus mocked God by saying "God didn't do that- we did that!" Look at the Governor of New York now, as God has asserted his power over a mere human, and once more showed that "God will not be mocked." The Governor's attack against God was abetted by the employees of a media outlet that supposedly represents the opposite political opinions and views of the Governor. These supposed followers of Christ provided the Governor with a hopeful message of faith and love at Easter from it's viewers and listeners that was supposed to give comfort and support to all people in a dark time. Instead it was shown to the Governor, so that he could attack it for political purposes which shows that Americans should start tuning out all media and politicians- who are playing us for fools just to make money. We should all turn to God and our books, yes, more books, but above all we should unite as one. I am asking Americans of all faiths and good will that no matter how you worship, all of us as followers of God, should put aside our small differences in religion, and come together as one people to save America as one nation, under God, indivisible with liberty and justice for all. A nation of many faiths whose love of God restores America to the peace, prosperity, and happiness it once knew. Our nation of many faiths can be united by our shared dedication and devotion to God. To achieve that end, all Americans, no matter what we believe, must hold ourselves and each other to the highest standards. May God bless you all.
