Another awesome installment in this children's fantasy series! This book covers some of the friendly fantasy beasts and also some of the more loyal and protecting creatures. Children will learn about cerberus, chimeras, gorgons, harpies, griffins, krakens, minotaurs, pegasi, phoenixes, sea serpents and one of my favorites, Unicorns! Each has its own description along with size, diet, lifespan, and home.

This is such a great series to introduce children to all the different fantasy beings in the fantasy realm. We enjoyed all four books in the series and the illustrations are beautiful. The quiz at the end will test your reading comprehension skills!

The art was beautiful but I really can't go above two stars with this. I tried to be kinder, but they didn't have enough on Harpies which is why I rented this book in the first place.

There wasn't a lot of information on the others either to make up for it. It's not like I went into this just to read about them, I'll read anything...

Except for this again.

Really disappointed.

Even so, it'd be a easy read for a child who is just being introduced to mythical creatures for the first time. The art is worth it enough.
