Wonderful book. As a Kiwi, I’ve watched as Australia takes professionalism in women’s sports much more seriously than we do. With many of the examples the author refers to still fresh in my mind, it was great to see how far we’ve come with a quick pace over the last few years.
Filled with anecdotes and stories which having you shaking your head at previous inequalities. Strapping tape as an incentive?! Give me a break!
Well done Angela, for a great book and for sticking in there during your career.
A very well written book, and challenged and even changed a number of opinions I had. Why 3 stars? It does become very repetitive, and I think it could have better made its point with 3/4 the number of pages.
Don't get me wrong, definitely worth a read, very interesting and well written!
Such a great discussion of women and sport in Australia. I love Angela Pippos' feminism, fanaticism and optimism. A book with a subtitle, a book that's published in 2017.
