As a reading book this is not the easiest, with the profusion of Latin and detailed descriptions of each group of organisms. However as a reference guide this book is brilliant, the detail for each group is handy when looking at one in particular and the additional information on lifestyle, ecology etc are useful and relevent. This book shows the level of diversity within each group and the relationships between organisms and between groups. A very useful text to have on our bookshelf
