I think the book "The Sugar Glider" is really interesting. We got it as reading in an English class. For a book that was organized by the school, it's tough. The end shocked me twice. In any case, it is to be recommended. Have fun, it's worth it!

8. Now that you are this far into the story, what do you look forward to learning next? What conflicts or problems do you think the characters will face? What qualities of your character will affect how the character handles the problems and conflicts he or she encounters?

I think they’re doing bad job not about government. At the first, one man told Paul it is related with government, but I think it is not. So, I think they will face serious problem. Especially Don doesn’t know about that because Paul didn’t explain to him about that. But now Don feels that it is a little strange. And he is with his daughter, Judy. He will protect her if something happen. Because every father get strong when daughter faces danger. And I think Don will conflict with Paul. Because Paul might doesn’t know about love with daughter. Also he needs a lot of money for flying school. So I’m looking forward to read next story.

12. Are you puzzled or confused about anything in the story? What is it that confuses you, and why do you find it confusing?

I thought they would land at the mine illegally. But the mine manager came to see them. Perhaps the manager is related with the job? And second thing is a boy who a good-looking, brown-skinned Murri boy of about eighteen. I don’t know what Murri is. And I couldn’t imagine the situation that Judy and the boy met. Because she saw the TV cameras and then he appeared suddenly. But I think he will do something for Judy later. I think he is important character in this story.

2. Does this story or its characters remind you of another story you have read? Does it remind you of a movie? How are they alike? And how are they different?

It reminds me one movie, but I forgot the title. The movie is also about a father and a daughter. That’s why it reminds me the movie. In the movie, the daughter was kidnapped by a group of human trafficking, so the father tries to save her. Actually, two stories are different, but when I watched the movie I was really impressed by father’s love. On the other hand, in this book the daughter saves her father. Both of them can feel family’s love, and they remind me my parents.

10. As you read today, what surprised you? Explain how this will affect the story or how it changed your thinking about the story.

I surprised about Paul’s dead. I don’t have idea why he died suddenly. I think author wanted to make a problem to Don and Judy through his dead, because he only knew about the job. But I think if Paul is alive it doesn’t matter about the story. I think it was unnecessary dead. I want that everyone is happy.
At first, when I saw this book’s cover, I didn’t expect this is adventure story. I thought this is just about a father who is pilot. That’s why while I was reading this book, I was surprised more and more.

It is interesting because it is set in Australia where I went to last year. I wonder if I saw any sugar glider. It is easy to tell which people are good and which people are bad.
