Davy Crockett's Riproarious Shemales and Sentimental Sisters

Rate this book
The Crockett Almanacs were the best-selling and longest-running series of comic almanacs published in antebellum America. Their portrayals of backwoods women both create uproarious laughter and provoke serious commentary.

Written just like you were in the 1830s-1850s with the verbiage and mindset of the period. One just has to pick up the book and scan through it to get a glimpse of the time. A biography of Mr. Crockett by the editor (Michael A. Lofaro) is included.

A collection of tall tales about tough women on the American frontier. There used to be a sort of Almanac of stories like this with Crockett's name on it that was sold in the time of his fame. I bought this originally as a joke due to the title standing out among the other Crockett books on Amazon.
