This book is fascinating to read. The author, Lisa-a medium with the gift, shares her experiences. Her grandparents also have the same gift, and they help guide her and help her grow her skills. But, not everyone (in the book) seeks the help Lisa offers; for example, one mate classmate wanted to tap her talent for financial gain. This creates a few problems for her. I like that Lisa has a good heart.

Based on a five-star rating, I give it five stars!
1) Buy from the author in the future? Yes
2) Did it keep me intrigued? Yes
3) Story line adventurous, mysterious, and believable? Yes
4) Would I recommend to a family member/friend? Yes
5) Did my idea of the book based on the cover remain the same after I read the book? Yes, the images of the thumbprint let me know that the book was about how we all leave a trace/print.

This book was an interesting take on the whole notion of an "afterlife". The book centres around Leah, who while being guided by the spirit of her Great Grandmother is re-learning her past life experiences and using the knowledge provided by her spirit guides to help others. While dreaming, Leah is able to view these past experiences from her spirit and engage with other spirits and guides as well. She is also able to see through the "veil" that separates life as we know it from the spirit world.

The time travel aspect of the book took some getting used to and as such made the early going of the book somewhat confusing. And while I am not a big believer in the spirit world, this book had interesting concepts that made the idea intriguing.

I received this book for free through Goodreads First-Reads.
