This was an informative book that nicely complimented the science class I was taking. It went along with the lectures and explained things in more detail. It had nice illustrations and tables and charts to break components down even further. Each chapter also included a list of terms you needed to know as well as a summary of that chapter. I liked it, but I didn't read all of it. I'd recommend if you needed it for class.
Too much information crammed into one book. This would be better as separate books or perhaps with more depth in the individual chapters. But, this is true of most textbooks.
