August Strindberg’s tantalizing and controversial 1888 drama, MISS JULIE, is revisited in an exciting new version by Niclas Olson. Telling the story of a young countess in turn of the century Sweden, Strindberg weaves a spellbinding tale of seduction and intrigue as Miss Julie and her father’s valet, Jean, taunt and tease one another over the course of a steamy midsummer’s night.
I knew immediately the ending. I found it pretty interesting but I hated Jean. Jean was a total jerk but I did love Julie's mother being independent. I don't want to give anything away but I really enjoyed it.
