The book was somehow old but as it was dealing with different kinds of techniques to teach vocabulary in different levels of English language learning, I found it helpful.

This book was a quick read that had some good information about teaching vocabulary to ESL students. The book was divided into the three sections of beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Overall, Ms. Allen did a good job of presenting a lot of practical activities that was reinforced with approachable theories of teaching.

Most of my classes are more of the intermediate level students, and I found that I much of the information that I read in that section was a summary of what I have learned through experience over the last two years. In addition to that, I learned a few things that I could use to push my upper level intermediate students, especially when it comes to use a dictionary.

I have limited experience with beginners, but I was given plenty of ideas of how to teach them vocabulary from this book.

There were some really good pointers, and I especially liked how the author separated vocabulary instruction by the level of the learner.
