When Joslyn decided to accept her best friend’s invitation to a private BDSM club, she had no idea just how much her life would change. For the sake of research, she entered the seductive and intense world of the Ebony Room and hoped to gather notes for a future book, but will the author turn into the student once she meets Sir Justin? Celibate for three years, the tall, dark, and handsome Dom was everything Joslyn had vowed to stay away from. Fetishes are revealed in the Ebony Room where untapped desires and erotic fantasies come true with just the crack of a whip.
If Joslyn thought being a guest was too much, wait until she becomes a participant...
This is the THIRD book in a NEW hot and sizzling erotic serial. No cliffhanger, but there will be a part FOUR.
This is a review of all three parts of this story, since, even though Amazon has these as "books," it's ludicrous to consider a part that only takes a half hour to read a "book." But, even though it doesn't seem to me like this story is complete after these three parts, those are the only pieces of it I've run across so far.
In any event, I enjoyed this. Mr/Ms Lee (not sure of gender) has done THEIR research on the world of BDSM, just as the main female character sets out to do at the beginning of the story. It points out many of the parts of that world, that the general public might not understand, or definitely MISunderstands.
There are definitely things that annoyed me, and it was mostly just bizarre usage stuff that for some reason, online authors tend to let go. Things like the word "taunt," when the word is obviously supposed to be "taut," or the modern insistence on simply adding "ed" to the end of a word to show its past tense (words like "dreamed," when the true past tense is "dreamt").
Something else I always find grinds against me when reading such stories, and that's walking the extreme side of the line for most things, but then finding it necessary to use words like "pearl" and "lotus" and such to describe genitalia. People don't talk that way, I'm afraid. If you're going to be genteel, then maintain it through the whole story. If you want the erotic impact, use the terminology that real people use, because when you read a story like this, and come across such pseudo-Victorian terminology, it's jarring, because like I said: people don't talk that way.
When it came time for Joslyn's punishment , that part of it certainly didn't seem to last very long. According to the narrative, it lasted some time, but in the text, that part came and went, then leapt (yes, not leaped) right into penetration.
I understand that, ultimately, this is a romance. It's dealing far more with the emotional and psychological aspects of BDSM, which is great, because a lot of sex occurs in the mind, when things do get physical, it seems that at times, the author pulls back from committing completely to the scene presented. It's a tightrope walk between it being a romance, and turning it into some degree of pornography.
I loved this series! I need more. This was so me a few years ago, I still have a ways to go. Your writing this was awesome! Keep it coming id love more of Sir Justin and Fari!!!!
This can not be the end of the series? I need more. I feel like we need to know about their new lives together. Joslin & Sir are just getting started. I'm rooting for them!
Not me contemplating! This man wants to take care of all her needs just for her willingness to submit to him. I like how the life is carefully explained, nurturing, a caters to the needs of both the Dom and Sub. This was very erotic and sexy.
I loved the way Joslyn was all in with Justin. My girl did a whole 180 degrees and it made a ton of sense. Justin’s patience and willingness to lay everything out in regard to Dom/Sub was such a huge factor in trust. The author did a fantastic job explaining all the scenarios and definitions, I have a better understanding of this topic.
