If there’s one thing Jordan DeWalter despises more than small towns, it’s small town people. And now she's stuck surrounded by them.
From the moment he met Jordan, Casey's restlessness has only gotten worse. He wants more. For his life and his career. But mostly, he just wants Jordan. Too bad she's betting on their failure.
Will their undeniable connection be the push they both need to break free of their pasts, or will Jordan’s wager on their failure ruin the future for them both?
*This is the final book in the Risk Series. No cliffhanger!
Heather Hildenbrand lives in coastal Virginia where she writes paranormal and fantasy romance with strong-willed heroines and dark, grumpy heroes who’ll burn the world down for their mate. Her most frequent hobbies are cuddling with her giant goldendoodles, riding country roads on the back of her husband’s motorcycle, and avoiding killer slugs.

Another one of those sweet country romances that us country girls love. This story brings in our friends from the first book and adds a new friend to the mix. This book gives you a city girl who has so many thoughts as to how country people are and it will be up to Casey to point out to Jordan that not all country people are like the family she has never met. Jordan and Casey are both fighting feelings for each other and then when Jordan comes up with a bet against them it just seems like life will e out to get them.
Of course just like the perfect romance story you will need to bring along the box of Kleenex because Heather once again will bring your personal emotions into the book and you will feel like you are dealing with the struggles just like they are.
Will Jordan be able to fight her prejudices and discover the man of her dreams is right in front of her or will she let them get the best of her and do her job and be gone?
Since Heather used a new publisher the former 2 books were re-released as 4 books. I didn't know that and got the wrong book on Amazon with only half the story of Casey and Jordan. I contacted Heather for clearance and she was very generous and gifted me book 4 to make up for my confusion. I loved to read the rest of Casey and Jordan's story and I wouldn't have thought she'd find a way with her grandparents nor that she'd consider becoming a country girl
