Inspired by a report into the systematic abuse of children at a Welsh-language comprehensive school during the 1980s, this tale—though based on tragic events—is a warm-hearted and humorous drama that examines father figures and family life.
A brutally visceral play about missed chances, with three excellent roles for skilled actors. My qualms deal with the sexually explicit nature of some of the actions, which would be difficult to stage effectively; as well as how the play veers between very long monologues and short dialogues. Still, contains some great monologue material for audition pieces, and would like to read more from this playwright.
