Read for research purposes

This book reads like a history book in that it is dry. However, the inclusion of pictures was nice and it gave Acadien history from before and after the deportation. The author included many places of interest to me like Shediac and Cocagne.
I would recommend to anyone wanting to learn about Acadian history.

Reads like a history book (thus a little dry), however I liked the inclusion of pictures. This is a well rounded book of the history of the Acadians (including the Mi'Kmaq peoples), from before and after the deportation. The author also included information on places of interest to me: Shediac and Cocagne to name a few.
I would recommend this book to anyone looking for research as I was.
