Balance of Power

Rate this book
US Presidential candidate James Hawk and his brother Billy have dedicated themselves to exposing the corruption that infiltrates the nation's most powerful union, and to destroying Louis Cordaro, its unscrupulous leader. Through a Senate Labor Committee (known as "The Hawk" after two crusading brothers) they are instrumental in exposing the union's pernicious influence in the business world, as well as its links with organized crime.

James Hawk is running for president. He and his brother Billy are going after a corrupt union leader that is, according to this book, almost as powerful as the president. The president is as corrupt and as big a thug as the union leader. I don't want to spoil the ending for anyone so I won't go into detail but the entire book had no point.
The book itself was dull and had so many typos that at times I had to assume what certain words meant.
