Trail of Ice: A Lot Can Happen on the Way Home...
Seth McCartan feels like life is waging war on him. He only finds peace when looking at the world through the viewfinder of his camera.
When his New York City job and love life end abruptly, he has no choice but to take work in the wilds of Alaska. Covering a cross country sled dog race seems basic enough, but soon the struggle to understand his past is joined by a new challenge... surviving the present.
They say that fighting for your life can make you want to live it.

April 20, 2023I was lucky enough to get in contact with HACKERJUDAS, a cryptocurrency recovery company after I lost access to my crypto wallet. I was saving some money on my Blockchain wallet but I couldn’t access it after some time, I thought I had lost it all but my son told me about HACKERJUDAS, this team was able to help me recover my wallet while attending to me professionally. I truly commend their efforts. I understand many people have lost access to their cryptocurrency

What a great read this was! I knew very little about the culture of the tribes in Alaska and even less about the Iditarod. Thanks to Murphy's adroit handling of the background, I learned a great deal about both. He is good at weaving cultural background, environmental awareness, and an adventure into one excellent book.
I received the book free through Goodreads.

Seth Mc Cartan is a photographer who is not just satisfied with taking a photo, he is interested in how the photo will tell a story. Unfortunately his attempts to reveal the truth are not appreciated by his boss and so he is fired. Add this to the fact that his girlfriend leaves him and his life is in a turmoil. His friend Rick proposes a job photographing a famous dog sled race held in Alaska and it seems to be his chance to get away.
Seth arrives at Idilarod and gets to meet the sled drivers and hear tales of ghosts and past personalities who ran the race. One man in particular, seeing Seth’s concern as to where his life is leading him, encourages him. “This project will give you time to think”. And so it does.
Alaska, “a land this big, so harsh” however fascinates Seth and he decides to prolong his visit even after the terrible experience he had while following the race.
The author gives us a vivid description of life in Alaska with astute insights into the traditions.
An interesting tale that captures the reader and catapults him into a land we know so little of.
An adventure not to miss.
