This book is about a cat named Luna. Luna loves to wake up her owner in the mornings and show her all types of affection. Throughout the story Luna begs for her owner's attention in different ways, before finally jumping down off of the bed and leading her owner to the cat food bowl for breakfast.
This was not one of my favorite children's books. The illustrations were okay, but the story did not have a lot of entertainment. I am not sure that it would hold a child's attention long enough for them to enjoy it.
Luna wakes up her owner every morning by snuggling under the blankets. Then, she leads her to the kitchen for breakfast.
This book would be appropriate to share as a read aloud with children between birth and three years old. It would also be appropriate as a beginning reader book for young readers between four and six years old. The short phrases and colorful illustrations will engage readers. Readers that own a cat will also identify with Luna's behavior. It could be used to develop print motivation in young children and help beginning readers explore prepositional phrases.
