Harold has a terrible cold. He is sent to the doctor and he must take some nose drops, as prescribed by the doctor. Harold is terrified of the effects of the nose drops and subsequently begins to think the drops will cause his nose to fall off. Then, his nose goes missing--or so he believes. He goes into an extensive search for his nose in the garden, in his room...all over! Finally, Harold comes home, looks in the mirror and realizes his nose had returned. I laughed out loud when reading the conclusion of this book as did my first graders when I read it aloud to them before they were dismissed today!

I really enjoyed reading this book, it was so funny. It's about Harold, the rabbit, who gets a cold and has a running nose. He thinks it means that his nose has ran away and he chases it around all over the house and the back yard. When he doesn't find it he starts to cry. Then his mother tells him that his running nose is back, and he is very happy.

This is a cute story basically telling us how it's easy (especially as a child) to misunderstand something. It would absolutely use this book in my classroom!!
