Much like the Iron Man book I read earlier this year, this felt as though I was watching the movie in my head to a certain extent however the chapters were alternating between Strange's surgery and his fight with the zealots. This ruined the pattern for me and I would have enjoyed more detail since the movie is not even covered entirely in this book. Stephen's accident which destroyed the nerves in his hands is a tragedy which makes him the wonderful sorcerer we know him to be today through further movies and supposedly the comics. I really love how the environment he visits is a peaceful and modern one where one can find technology and simultaneously read books and learn about magic and the multiverse. To be honest, I enjoyed Iron Man depiction of the movies in book form much better than this one however I still sped through this since it is a relatively easy read and a very easy one to follow with the same picture taking many pages and the story unfortunately for me adapted for children. I hated how it ended so abruptly with an anticlimactic end one wouldn't and shouldn't expect from any book. I am unaware as to whether this is split into 2 novels however in either case, I needed more the second I finished reading the final word. I was also anticipating more since I watched the movie before reading the book, obviously. Strange certainly isn't my favourite Avenger however I do love the cape and feel as though it's more useful than the Doctor himself. Deep down, we all know that this book is a representation of when one believes in himself he'll achieve whatever goal comes to mind. The classic Disney bullshit I suppose hahaha. I hated how the time stone isn't mentioned and only hinted at however appreciated that it's at least mention that Doctor Strange has a photographic memory since that is the main reason as to why he was such a great surgeon before and as to why he's such a brilliant wizard now. This is not some Harry Potter fan fiction though so that's it for this review.

I found this a little unsatisfying in that it seemed to be aimed at the (very) YA market, but it was sound enough.

Great short read. It is in line with the first part of the movie, but you get as an extra bonus an insight into Stephen's thoughts and feelings. So, if you loked the movie, you'll love this one.
