In an unnamed city, barfly Clark divides his time between drinking, brawling and ignoring his inner demons. That is, until public humiliation twice in one weekend opens his eyes to how much of a punchline he has become. Over the following week, Clark starts to push against his apathy towards life, chasing an elusive girl all over town, getting even with those who have wronged him and forcing himself to change his nihilistic ways until he reaches breaking point.

Not my normal genre of books i read, so took me a while to get into it. However, i really enjoyed. Though was not expecting that ending. Like i said not my normal genre.
For a first book, this is a really good book, and looking forward to the next.
