ALL THE BRIGHT PLACES BY JENNIFER NIVEN is an young adult novel. It is one of the most successful novels by Jennifer Niven , was published in 2016. The story is somewhat similar to another great novel and has been named “the next The Fault in Our Stars” by Guardian. The story follows the lives of two teenagers , Violet and Finch. The narrative switches between the two of them. The story revolves around the girl falling in love with the boy. But their life isn't as simple as that. Many tragedies change their lives drastically. The novel speaks about mental illness explicitly. How various tragedies and circumstances change human behavior, specially how the the affect the brains of young adults. Unique character construction is one of the main features of the book. Even the minor characters of the book have been portrayed with great detail. Although not extremely accurate, the details of mental illness and living with such issues have been portrayed with great details, specially on the part of Finch. Great story line that points to some sensitive issues. The ending can be shocking for some.
