Gabe James leads a quiet life in snowy Iowa with his wife. Suddenly he is kidnapped, taken to a hospital, given a facial surgery and drugged. Mastermind is his evil father who hates him for whatever reason. The people of his hometown try to find him and some of them (there are definitely too many names) travel incognito to the clinic. Meanwhile, Gabe got electric shocks and his personality split in 4. His people free him and somehow also FBI and police take part (far too many names !!!). He escapes and kills his father, brother and sister. The fact that he returns to his wife should count as a happy ending, but due to his definitely schizophrenic personality, the reader has to doubt that.
Much too long (500 pages). I've just skipped through at least 50%. The story (what story) is totally confused. Waste of money!
