Published in 1982 this is a pretty good photographic record of steam services in the early 1960s on the branchlines of the British Rail Southern Region. However, one thing really lets the book down is the very messy layout of the 178 images and captions. Very unusual for a book from this publisher (OPC - Oxford Publishing Company)

Lots of photos, not bad for a 50p purchase as a water damaged book second hand at the Kent & East Sussex Railway.
