Dream Sutra - Perceiving Hidden Realms

Rate this book
This book chronicles the experiences of many people who were helped and healed, guided and communicated with, by the dreamer within themselves – their spirit or astral body.

The unifying thread between these many people was that they had a common Guru – someone who could travel out-of-body at will, heal people and even provide insights into their future. The greatest tribute to this Guru is that he moulded his disciples also into Gurus, thereby attaining a universal status of a Mahaguru, i.e. a teacher of Gurus.

The fact that even 25 years after his death, this Mahaguru can still communicate and guide his devotees and disciples via their dreams, lends itself to deepening our exploration of the spiritual realms as well as after-death existence.

The anecdotal content dotting this book’s landscape leads you into recognising the power of the dream language so that the metaphorical leads into the metaphysical.

The question is – are you ready to believe in the power of dreams?

I've always been curious about the implication and meaning of the dreams that we have. Dream Sutra gives an insight into this realm. You can either read it simply as a fascinating and entertaining story of people who have had amazing experiences and what they meant, or, read it like me to gain a deeper understanding of dreams and how they relate to our lives spiritually and the messages they carry for us. Strongly recommended.

Everyone dreams. We feel joy, fear, anger, pain and every other conceivable emotion in our dreams...and it all feels so real in the dream state. I have always been fascinated by the ability of the mind to conjure up these amazing worlds where everything is possible - You can fly, you can be superhuman. I have read a few books trying to deconstruct the dream world but this one is by far my favorite.

It chronicles the fantastic dreams of a few people who were followers of a powerful spiritual teacher. The dreams led to actual physical healing in a few and epiphanies for some others. After reading it, I just cannot dismiss or ignore some of my dreams anymore. The parallel dream world is a powerful place -- a place where you can exhaust your karma, you can help and be healed.

There is so much that we dismiss as too fantastic to be true because it doesn't fit into the ideas that we have classified as "believable", yet every day we 'feel', 'dream', 'experience' things that fall out of this rigid classification, that make us sit up and question the very foundation of our understanding of this world, of other worlds, of our inner world.

Dream Sutra is brilliant because it redefines the boundaries of what is believable! A great read.

The Dream Sutra is an inspiring book that takes us through nuances of several dreams and their relevance. The purpose of a dream within and beyond the circle of Maya, the divine intervention of the Siddha Guru and the breakaway from purist narration particularly fascinated me!

▶ A book that showcases the personal experiences of spiritual people and how a guru guides them in their dream state.

• Insight: "Dream Sutra" by Hingori and Hannah is a collection of some out of the world experiences of spiritually advanced people. The book shows how a guru can connect, communicate and guide his disciples and devotees even in their dream state.

• Review:

Sleep I must to become
one with the world.
Dream I must , for
I am the world.

The first look of the book that is the cover page and the name gives an impression that the book is about dream interpretation in general. But, it's not.
The book is full of incidents that are beyond the comprehension of a common man.

As a reader, you will get goosebumps and at times wonder if it's real. The book shows how a dream can have some hidden message. The book talks about dreams, visions and out of body experiences. I personally liked the chapter, 'death'. It says that a death dream depends either on the dreamer's psychic ability or spiritual evolution. It talks about after life dimensions, after death desires and deeds.

The author's dedication to his guru can be clearly gauged by the several incidences that are mentioned. The author himself has experienced and guided by his guru through his dreams.
In the last section of the book, one can take a spiritual IQ test called Karma quest available in their website at www.hingorisutras.in

Glossary section further helps to clear the meaning of the words used by the author.

• Strength: Simple language. Beautiful illustrations inside the book. Real life examples.
Spiritually powerful content.

• Target readers: Spiritually inclined people.

• Age group: 18 and above

• Genre: Non Fiction, Spiritualism

• Rating: 5/5

A great read. This is not a coffee table read. The book does need some amount of hunger to know the unexplained science. Author has multiple instances to share and decode dreams based on his understanding.

It is memoir of collection of dreams of some famous personalities as well as followers of Guruji of Gurgaon, their interpretation and what followed on their life's after such dreams.
It does not cover knowledge on interpretation of various dreams which was my intent of reading the book.

There exists wonderful stories outside the boundaries of the real world, most of us love to experience them, nurture them, attempt to deconstruct them and most importantly, own them. They are our Dreams...
Often enough Dreams are labelled as figments of our imagination, manifestation of our subconscious mind, a medium through which events that otherwise face 'control' in actuality, find expression!
There is a plethora of western literature available on dreams and their interpretation, mostly discussed in great detail by psychologists but the Dream Sutra is by far the most relevant text that expounds the concept in the Spiritual context. It is made more interesting with precedents from the Indian Shastras, true life instances, complete with rich and fascinating illustrations.

The author of the Dream Sutra brilliantly intertwines the correlation between perception and reality in a book that leaves you wanting more...
