The gods are gone. All of them.

When the gods left, their last message to humanity was: "Thank you for believing in us, but it is not enough. We're leaving. Good luck." At first no one took them seriously. Until, that is, all the denizens of all the heavens and hells started showing up on people's doorsteps.

Creatures that were once thought of as myth are now refugees striving to adapt to life on earth. Trouble is, after eons of living forever, they're not very good at being mortal.

This latest installment follows the trials and tribulations of Other refugees as they do their best adjust to life in the GoneGod world.

Included stories:

The Night Before the Others’ Christmas by R. E. Vance
It’s Christmas time and when the twice fallen angel Penemue brings home a drunk hobo, insisting the man is Santa Claus, Jean-Luc is skeptical. Not that he should be. Stranger things have happened in this new GoneGod world.

Muses Musing by R. E. Vance
Five muses walk into the Millennium Hotel with one mission: to finally settle who is the greatest muse of all.
Watch as the muses Action, Horror, Erotica, Western and Sci-Fi throw their greatest story ever … a story starring an unwitting (and very confused) Jean-Luc.

Lamia by Deacon Rayne
Feeding. Changing. The occasional murder and body disposal – Parenting can be a real killer.
And when your adopted offspring is the last of the Gorgons, good luck finding affordable day care.
You’d have to be crazy to sign up for this. Fortunately, Tyler is a sociopath and whilst makes for poor human interactions … It makes him a terrific dad.
Just ask his daughter Lamia.

Ramy Vance lives in Edinburgh with his wife, recently born child and imaginary dog where he enjoys a beautiful city, whisky (Scottish spelling, not mine) and long walks. All he really wants is to quit his job and write stories based in Paradise Lot. All he really hopes for is that his child is healthy (ten fingers, ten toes and at least two eyes is a good start) and that eventually he can can get a real dog so that he can have an excuse to go on even more long walks.

This is a collection of 3 short stories set in the Paradise Lots world. Two stories are by R.E. Vance and the third is by guest author Deacon Rayne.

In a place where all sorts of legends and mythological beings ended up after the Gods left, you just know that some form of Saint Nick was going to pop up eventually. Can even Saint Nick help Jean-Luc's friends give him a happy Christmas?

When the Muses gather to see which is the best, old stories take on new twists with Jean-Luc and his friends as the main characters.

Deacon Rayne gives us a short story that will make the reader question what really makes a monster.

R.E. Vance's stories are light , fun reads that are perfect for a Christmas treat. They should delight any fan of the series. Deacon Rayne's story is a little darker in theme but is still a perfect addition to the Gone Gods universe. I definitely recommend this series but do think you should be at least familiar with the series to fully enjoy this collection.

Fun, short stories that give a little insight into what I consider the main characters of the series. Really liked the final story, can imagine a story would almost go like that if the muses were to have a contest

Kindle Unlimited but was and seems to still be 99 for the trilogy plus the Interludes story, can't really beat that, with Interludes being 2.99 by itself, the rest 2.99 - 4.99 each, though are still 2 not included but will list them below. #1.1 seems to be permafree if you want to check that one out fully, that and the other 2 were written as episodes so may or may not contain the full Gone God World #1 which is not free but is ku}. The review for the 3 plus 1 set is elsewhere.

Curious Case of the Bone Flue Troll and Muses Musing are not part of the 3 set with novella pack, but are available ku.

The Christmas story presented was a fun twist on "'twas the night before Christmas" - part poem and part story with Jean-Luc, Penemue, Astarte, and Judith. The main story involving the Muses takes the nuances of Paradise Lot and transforms them into a mashup of several movies, with commentary. I reckon that you'll appreciate the references to each act. Lamia is an origins type of tale that promises to continue her story as well as her "dad". Being familiar with the main characters of Paradise Lot as well as the movies referenced will add to your enjoyment of the book.

Very good

A collection of shorts from the Gods Gone World, these were all very enjoyable reads that add more nuance to the main books.
