Summary: This is a rhyming book that the children can read that has lights and sounds. It also has different textures too. It has several different elements to the story to make it interesting. It tells the story of the way different animals and the noises they make or the way they look. Like how the chirpy chick makes lots of noises, or how the bunny has eyes open wide when he is scared.
Personal Reaction: I think it is a cute book and the toddlers would have fun reading this book either as a class or alone because it has a lot of different elements to make the book interesting and exciting. I would also use this book in the unit about animals; it also talks about the sounds and the different looks of different animals.

Natalie and I looked at this in the doctor's office to kill some time. It was a large board book with a huge pair of googley eyes that can be seen on each page spread. Its a short book which has a little rhyme for four or five animals. Most of the pages had places to feel, like fluffy fur on the cover. (Books like these kind of gross me out though. I think of all the germs from the kids who've touched them before). The last page was a tractor and when you turned the page it made an engine noise. It kept Natalie's attention for a few minutes and she liked touching the fuzz on the white duck.
