Rate this book
This is a complete three book bundle of the spin-off Sweet Serial to the Ex Ops Series!
It can be read as a standalone, apart from the Ex Ops Series. I hope you enjoy!
Sweet Agony (Sweet Serial #1 / Ex Ops #3)
Beware of falling in love with the boy across the street.

Disappearing from their dangerous life in Chicago, Ginny and her mother went from riches to rags by way of a new life in the sleepy, rural suburbs of New York. Under the illusion of safety, Ginny blossomed into a beautiful young woman with hopes and dreams for a future her mother was determined she would have.

Lucas Young, her best friend’s oldest brother, was the dashing hero in all of her dreams. The man she fantasized about sweeping her off her feet and giving her the happily ever after she had only heard about in her mother’s fairytales.

Sometimes, reality wasn’t what we wanted it to be, though.

What would happen when Ginny found out Lucas wasn’t her Prince Charming after all? Instead, he was a rough and tumble soldier in extremely tarnished armor who had a propensity to break her heart.

Maybe happily ever after wasn’t meant for everyone.

Sweet Recovery (Sweet Serial #2 / Ex Ops #4)
He broke her heart… now he has to pick up the pieces.

Lucas Young met the woman meant for him when they were just children. He spent years pushing the sweet, innocent Ginny away for one reason or another instead of claiming what was his, breaking her heart in the process.

Five years later, he runs into Ginny, only he no longer recognizes the person she has become. The good-hearted, free-spirited girl he loved is now a shell of who she used to be, living the sort of life she never wanted. And Lucas is driven to find out why.

However, uncovering Ginny’s secrets will prove to be dangerous for them both.

Will he be able to piece back the broken woman who used to love him with every fiber of her being? Or did he push her away for good?

Sweet Eternity (Sweet Serial #3 / Ex Ops #5)
Roses are red, my life is blue, and the man I love is a fool.

Virginia Wellington has accepted her fate of being a pawn in her father’s criminal underworld games, especially if it keeps the people she loves safe. The problem is Lucas has discovered her secrets and the reason she walked away from him. Now he’s determined to save her, even if she doesn’t want to be saved.

I’m not Prince Charming. I’m the guy who kicked Prince Charming’s ass.

Lucas Young now knows why the woman he’s loved since he was a boy disappeared from his life. It’s time he rescued his angel and showed her once and for all that by his side is exactly where she belongs.

I don't know whether to like Ginny or just pity her pathetic ass, because man she was a sorry excuse for a female. I absolutely loved when she finally stood up for herself against her childhood bully! I fist pumped the air and yelled 'take that you bitch'..but then she went back to being the pathetic, love lorn girl from her childhood. Honestly I don't think Lucas was worth even a smidgen of her love for him, he was a huge dick and an even bigger manwhore! Seriously..eww!!!

In any case Ginny was quite frankly fucking stupid to do what she did when she knew the man was drunk out of his skull, she totally took advantage of the situation and through her rose colored glasses thought everything was going to be sunshine and rainbows the day after. Reality checks are such bitches, but she totally deserved it for being so fucking pathetic...again!

Now at almost thirty she's a damn alcoholic, though her circumstances are quite difficult to deal with, her father being such a huge douche and all but seriously, drinking? I feel like she should know better.

Alas, this book ends on a whopper of a cliffhanger but the author does warn the readers, which is truly appreciated! So if, like me, cliffhangers are a huge pet peeve for you buy all three books in this tiny spinoff or the bundled set so as to not be disappointed with the not so final endings...

How did we switch from Ginny being pathetic to Lucas being so fucking pathetic? These two poor souls truly belong together because being apart turns the both of them into whiny, sad and useless robots!

Enough said...

Eh..to fucking repetitive. If I had to read one more paragraph where Lucas and/or Ginny described how much they loved each other but fucked up but belonged together but fucked up but will die together...blah blah blah..I was going to scratch my eyes out. I actually skimmed and skipped quite a few chapters. If I hadn't enjoyed the first books in this series, these three serials would have totally swayed me to a DNF category.

Years and time

Years and time. Lucus and Ginny. They wanted to be together. But some not so good people had their own wants. Add a father who thinks hurting people is okay. Time and hasn't changed some of them. Okay reading.
