All starting from her and sister taking turns in making up stories and telling each other at bedtime, then soon began writing them down. Genres varied and crossed, but mostly interested in Mystery, Thriller, Speculative, Paranormal, YA. First published work is a short novella "Light, Speed, Time" (originally written in 2009), which is now part one of a planned YA series.

This is a brilliant prelude to Waterman´s other short story I´ve read, Light, Speed, Time, but it can be read as a standalone, too. Set during New Year´s Eve at the turn of the millenium, this is a perfect little story for this time of year.
Once again the writing and presentation are of the highest standard and we can sit back and enjoy the thrills of spending a night in a haunted Victorian mansion with three friends, Becca, Vicky (from Light, Speed, Action) and Sani. No plot spoilers here - like the girls, you´ll have to live the story to find out who´s causing the strange noises during their freezing night together.
Part of what is shaping up to be a cracking, ongoing YA series (Photon Lock), Three, Two, One is a perfect Christmas gift of a book for anyone who loves ghost stories, mystery stories or historical fiction. Of course, it´s also highly recommended to anyone who read the first story and wants to meet Vicky again and get to know her before Light, Speed, Action.
