Gennady Yakovlevich Blinov - Soviet writer, author of books for children.

Born in 1932 in the village of Staro-Azhinka, Altai Territory. After graduating from the Novokuznetsk Pedagogical Institute, he worked at the school as a correspondent for the newspapers Kuznetsk Worker and Komsomolets Kuzbass. In 1950, the first Kuznetsk Worker newspaper published Blinov's first short story, Pioneer. In 1968, the first book for children, The Blue Arrow Patrol, was published at the Kemerovo Book Publishing House. Then G.Ya. Blinov lived in Kemerovo, worked at the editorial office of the newspaper Kuzbass. He was a co-author of the project and the first executive secretary of the Rodnik newspaper - later the Siberian Spring - the first independent non-political Siberian newspaper. The last story of G. Ya. Blinova "Coverage" is dedicated to his favorite characters - children. The action of this story takes place in the Kuzbass on the construction of Zapsib.
