This was a very heart-warming read throughout all of Janeway's thoughts. Really it's a collection on 2 Peter 1 describing how a Christian makes diligent his calling in Christ up to death. He strives for heaven, he yearns for heaven more, and he puts to death those sins that easily encumber his sole. The last portion is from Mrs. B. She was on her deathbed from a fever so Janeway recorded shorthand forms of her words that she spoke while suffering. It really does make you shed some tears seeing a saint's thoughts as she prepares for her heavenward homecoming. I thought that Janeway's organizational aspects weren't the best, I often had problems finding out why he was addressing certain elements where he did, but they weren't unbiblical thoughts at all. It's a very encouraging read for a Lord's Day reading in between services!

The delight, joy, and wonderful blessing of serving the Lord. How God equips and strengthens us by his glorious grace, yes we will suffer although never as much as our precious saviour. We then have the glorious hope of heaven to look forward to. Really helpful Christ honouring book, deserves to read and thought seriously over.
