Dr. David John Chivers (1944-) is a primatologist who studied the socio-ecology and conservation of primates and other wildlife in Southeast Asia, Southern Asia, and Brazil. He is professor emeritus in Primate Biology and Conservation, and former Director of Studies in Veterinary Medicine and also Biological Anthropology, of Selwyn College at the University of Cambridge, and a former President of the Primate Society of Great Britain.
