What made me pick up this book was its interesting cover and the name "Finding Juliet".

This book is about guy Arjun who knew nothing about girls. He was a guy who believed in true love. In the journey to find true love he broke his heart thrice after that he moved to another city. He met Krish who was deliberately good with women and enlighten Arjun about female behavior and desires. From a nice guy, Arjun became flirt and started having intimate relationships with two-three women at a time but was feeling emotionally void. He realized he needed a true love.

I liked the story in this book but the narration was quite poor. What I didn't like about this book that in the beginning of the book females were portrait like a devil creatures who don't give a damn about others feeling but the author makes up for that when Krish was enlightening Arjun about female behavior. But there he made it sound like women only fall for bad guys and flirts and don't care about good guys. I like Anjali's character.

From the cover, I have had high expectations but this book was not able to fulfill it.

Finding Juliet was a perfect mixture of love, lust and emotions of wide variety. We've got pain, humor, betrayal, loneliness, happiness pretty much everything.
Our main protagonist Arjun is sort of a hopeless romantic who is waiting for the love of his life. Unfortunately he doesn't have a good luck when it comes to women. This whole is book is about the change Arjun undergoes trying to find his Juliet while she hides in plain sight. Some things I loved about this book:
(a) Arjun is a realistic and likeable character. A geek who is clueless about what women want. That's pretty much every guy out there.
(b) Krish's advice. Because reading that, even I was surprised how much of it made sense. And I'm a girl so I know what goes on in a girl's mind. I mean I could go all feminist and say not to stereotype but I took it in good humor and it was fun to read about.
(c) Character growth. From a geek to hunk, from a nice guy to flirt, from wanting love to confusing it with lust. There's a lot of change happening. And it was interesting to read about.
(d) The writing style. From the dialogues to the lyrics, I enjoyed all of it.
Maybe there is some insane pleasure in self-destruction and hitting rock bottom because once you reach there, you can only go up.

I can see your face,
But I can't see you anymore.
I can look into your eyes,
But I can't read them anymore.
You hold my hand,
But I don't feel the love anymore.
You touch my body,
but you don't touch my soul anymore.

Things I didn't like:
(a) The End. Too predictable. Also what about Rahul? I'm curious.
(b) Stereotypes and cheesy stuff.

"We have a Romeo... We need a Juliet!" The song from Bommarillu, a telugu movie aptly describes the book. The story is about the journey of Arjun in finding his Juliet. It turned out to be quite an eventful one with the variations of joy and sadness, lust and love and friendship.

The book cover was what made me take a second look at the book. I had almost overlooked it but at the last moment I took a chance on it because the cover art was tugging at my attention. The blurb is rather bland and doesn't ignite any interest at all. The story turned out better than it hinted at.

The starting was rather normal with all the teenage crushes and loves and heart breaks. It was a very easy part to read since the author has used simple language attuned to the youth of today. Though I am no longer in the YA bracket, I know enough of their language to enjoy the book. It was a very fast read because of it and also the scenes synced in well with each other. There was a natural flow and none of the interactions felt forced.

I usually look for good characters in the books I read. The author disappointed me a bit with Arjun's characterisation. Though he had a positive feel to his character in the beginning, the way he wandered from his true self, though realistic because who doesn't fall off the track at times, he kind of fell flat in the second half. He wasn't strong enough of a protagonist for me. I felt Anjali was more of a truer main character than Arjun. I loved Anjali's devotion and her strength.

There are two supporting characters who stood out for me. They are Krish, with his playboy reputation and his poignant sign off at the end and Rahul with his understated love for Anjali. I felt Rahul would have been a better jodi for Anjali. They seemed the perfect pair.

The story, though simple and straight forward with an almost Indian movie style feel, made me go through a gamut of emotions during its span. I loved that the author could evoke such a wide range of feelings with his narration. The part which I could vividly feel and remember was the part where Krish narrated his story. My heart bled for him. But there are certain points like the various stereotypes of women who fall in lust with Arjun which didn't sit well with me. It was at once surreal and realistic in parts. I rather enjoyed the book inspite of the few shortcomings.

I for one would further read the author's works in the future to see how he plays his characters in each of his tales!

I received a paperback from the author. This doesn't affect my review in any way. This is my honest and unbiased review.

My one line review : A surreal and realistic tale of a Romeo in search of his Juliet.

My rating : 4/5

My reread factor : 3/5

‘Everyone has a story behind what makes them what they are.’

When I first started reading the book I didn’t expect it will lead to something unexpected. From the title of the book to the end of the first half, it sounds like a story of a geek turned flirt to take a revenge on girls for betraying and leaving his love story incomplete. The story has words of wisdom, friendship, love, lust and everything you expect from a book of young adult. The book is merriment and a feast for the readers of new age. But that is not all.

The story is of a good guy Arjun who do not seek materialistic pleasures and waiting for the true love knock his door. After three failed relationships the same nice guy turned bad to heal his broken heart. He shifted to Banglore from Hyderabad and there he met with Krish, an irresistible flirt who became his ‘Gyan Guru’ to understand women.

The end is somewhat expected but it the journey that makes the book a good book and undoubtedly the journey is what with you fell in love. The book is Toffee alias Taufeq Ahmed’s just second book and I am sure to say that he is a ‘lambi race ka ghoda’. (He is gonna go far)

You laugh on the candid moments of Arjun’s life, you hate him for the wrongdoing, you feel pitied on him and sympathize with him and lastly you cannot held back to love him and you can’t hate the Krish as well.

Arjun is just as any other normal guy ogling at the features of pretty women and waiting for the one .
He falls in love, thrice, to be rejected every single time. Everytime he is thrown out of his palace of dreams, he falls into deep depression to be confronted by his best friend who bring him back to real life.
Life takes a serious turn when a calamity occurs with his stars and he loses a lot more than what he could afford. To not let his sorrows drown him, he leaves Hyderabad and takes a job in Bangalore.
He meets Krish, a guy full of life with his life full of girls. He teaches Arjun the matra of being irresistible and gives him a few valuable lessons on women psychology. Arjun's sex life reaches its peaks after that and finds his way with women.
But a hollow remains, will he ever find his one true love in the wave of no strings attached? Who will be her?
Reading Finding Juliet to know.
The book is a tale of broken hearts and romance, it surely provides a lesson to stand up after receiving a blow.
The plot is fast paced and the characters are well defined , the author has done the courtesy of not adding too many unnecessary characters, thereby avoiding any sort of confusion.
The book is well written using simple and graspable words, making it an easy read.
It was good to finally get a printed difference between a "Hii" and a "Hi', hope the readers notice it and put it into future use.
I recommend this book to every guy out there, buy this book, read this book and go get your girl.
This book surely has the key to a woman's heart and a perfect answer to the popular question 'What women actually want?'. I am still amazed that a male could figure out all those details about a female. I think I will be rushing to ask the author that how did he do it and I request him to write a book for the benefit of women as well or it would be unfair if men have all the advantage.

Despite the fact that I really did enjoy reading the book, it did seem a bit unreal because no one goes from rags to riches in the terms of the opposite sex.
The book cover talks about a geek finding love though Arjun didn't seem anywhere near a geek, he was just a guy who was driven by emotions.

Cover page
Srishti publishers have been coming out with some really simple and easy to read novels. Same with their cover pages. The cover page here too is very simple and direct. The main character needs no introduction after seeing the cover. The composition is stunning. The red spine sets this book apart on the shelf. The font compliments and imagery.
It is simple yet pleasing cover page.

Characters
The book is essentially about Arjun who is a self-confessed geek. He starts out from being a small town regular guy from Hyderabad and moves to Metropolitan Bangalore. There is not much depth in the character as such. He looks like a regular guy who thinks every girl is alike. He cannot think beyond the pretty face and other pretty things even when he claims to be in love with a girl.
If the author was planning to portray Arjun shallow throughout the book, then he has achieved the goal but I clearly felt a bit more depth would have helped. Arjun doesn't make you like him or even hate him. Which is worse.
Other than the random girls in every chapter there are not many characters. They, too, sort of justify the generalization of girls.
Krish is the only character who was fun knowing throughout the book. The self-proclaimed love guru gives all the gyan about women. He is fun to listen to. I found myself liking this side kick more than I liked any of the other characters. Enough was known about Krish to like him and not enough to dislike him.

Content
The entire book is about Arjun and his failed relationships. Arjun falls in love thrice but it takes losing his parents to make him realize that he is chasing wrong ducks. He moves to Bangalore and finds Krish as his romance mentor. Krish is a cool guy who wears t-shirts with fancy quotes. Krish grooms him to be fun but Arjun slowly turns into a playboy.
There are eight different girls in the book out of which the romance/fun is described in details switch six of them. The interludes are fun to read about in the beginning but later you find yourself knocking Arjun's head and push him pages forward.
There is a constant generalization of women in the book ie, they take long to dress up, they like teddy bears, etc. The author has complete liberty of designing his own characters but Arjun just started boring us with less than smart comments on girls.
I just wished there was more diversity Arjuna no situations he was put in, even the way he thought. The content got repetitive at times where you will find skipping paragraphs and counting pages left to finish the chapter.
The book is filled with the usual substance that any youth-oriented book contains ie, parties, beautiful women, drunk driving, sexcapades etc. It was fun in the beginning but towards the end, the overdose felt suffocating. It lacks the surprise element too. It is clear since the beginning about the girl Arjun will end up with.

Language
Language is simple. It is crude at places. There are sentences that could have been better written. Arjun's poetry also sounds like nursery rhymes. Language isn't the best part of this book.

Good points
The cover page is beautiful. The book is fun at certain places. Krish is a great character to listen too.

Bad points
He characters lacked depth. The content got repetitive at places. The language fails to stir your emotions. It is not gripping enough.

Overall
I did not dislike the book altogether but I didn't like it much too. The absence of this book in my life wouldn't have made any difference.

Whom do I recommend this to
This is a light read recommended to those who wouldn't like to use too much brain while reading. It is a fun read for those who have not read a book on a similar theme before.

I am so much thankful and glad for receiving this book. I received a copy from Writersmelon in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. I ain’t much of a romantic person but still, I thought why not give it a try. I probably think this is my first romantic book after I read Love Story by Erich Segal.

This review was initially published at The Readdicts Book Blog . For more reviews, go here.

Finding Juliet by Toffee started of really well, because I found myself relating to all the first crush and first love incidents of the male protagonist Arjun's story about his college days. Almost all those little things brought a smile to my face and I found myself enjoying the book, even though it's not something I'd ever even consider picking up otherwise. But I thought I'd give this book a try because I knew it would be a short, simple and sweet read, which it was, save for a few problems I had with it.

It was towards the second half of the book where there's that whole have a girlfriend to flaunt and not seem a loser that started getting on my nerves. No matter how chill or sweet a book is, this is one thing I just cannot stand for the life of me. Another point that I didn't agree with was the make out and make up drama. Also, even when Arjun was smart enough to understand that a particular relation wasn't exactly good, he kept going on with it. But of all these, the worst was being proud of being in numerous relations at once and assuming how a woman's brain works, like, just stop!

Now that the positives and negatives are out of the way, let's talk about the story. An engineer by profession, Arjun joins the IT industry after his studies and lands a really good job, and apparently, also a very cool social life. Aside from the few times where he got on my nerves, Arjun was a really sweet and kind person. Although he did mess up majorly sometimes, his realisations and the fact that he learned from his mistakes made him a good person. Arjun also enjoys writing and contributes as lyricist to bands and movies. I would have loved to see some of Arjun's writing work in the book because I'm sure it would've added much more to the book.

Author Toffee's writing was really good; very simple and extremely easy to understand. All in all, although Finding Juliet seemed like a typical Bollywood movie, it was a good read that was enjoyable but there are some parts of it that I just cannot stand, no matter what. But it's definitely a good or- as they say, "time-pass"- read that gives a nice glimpse into the lives of techies.

*Note: A copy of this book was provided by Srishti Publishers & Distributors in exchange for an honest review. We thank them.

The story is about our hero Arjun who is trying to find his Juliet. Finding Juliet has a loose plot with scattered ends here & there. The novel is a typical teenage drama where our main lead most of the times found is either hitched by girls or he is behind girls. He seems least interested in studies but somehow he manages to become a popular lyrist who also manages to sleep with a girl who took his interview. On the other hand, we have this poor lady called Anjali who always support Arjun in ‘No matter what’ situations as well & she keeps waiting for her just like Kajol from ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.’

From storyline I couldn’t figured out whether Arjun was cool dude, hunk, handsome or drop-dead gorgeous who managed to get so many girls around him. In his college years, when he failed to try his lady luck thrice, he turns to become a Casanova – all thanks to Krish who gives him lessons of becoming a flirt.

216 pages of book are wrapped around girls in his life displaying how these girls are extremely hungry for sex. At the end, he still manages to get his true love in the form of Anjali.
Isn’t it a typical Bollywood flick? I felt like ‘Love, Sex & Dhokha’ type. If this book is for teenagers then they might enjoy.

I would also like to point out that the kind of characters that have been portrayed in this novel isn’t good at all. I felt the author has put his own fantasy about all type of girls in one novel. The main lead has been shown having sex with girls from young, unmarried, experienced, inexperienced to married.

The story failed to impress. I would recommend only for those who enjoy erotica.

Finding Juliet is the story of Arjun. Arjun is a simple guy with romantic ideas. He has some girls in his life. But all of them, except Anjali, dump him before he can take the matters forward. Anjali is his loyal friend.

Then he moves to Bangalore. Krish, who works in his office, becomes his love guru. Soon our simple Arjun turns into a sex god. His relationship with all the girls is of no strings attached, friends with benefits kind.

However soon he realizes the futility of all and finds true love in Anjali. The following words by Krish summarize the novel. “Lust satisfies the needs of your body and ego, but it does nothing for your soul, because soul is nourished by the pristine happiness that comes with pure love.”

The author weaves real to life people, moments and even relationships. This novel is as much about lust as it is about love. The author juggles between these two successfully. It is indeed his success that the novel no where appears vulgar. The story is gripping and interesting. It will remind you of your relationships.

However what I did not like about the novel is that it reinforces the stereo types that good girls, who form the marriage material, do not sleep around and a guy should have as many sex encounters as he can before he settles down with a girl.

Yet this novel is entertaining. You will have a great time reading it.

The cover of the book is intriguing as it features a nerdy guy and some random colour schemes that makes it stand out. The cover surely says that the story is about an average guy who is in search of love.

The title is fantastic and one just falls for the choice of the author. Finding Juliet reminds us of another Finding Juliet by Frank Sennett which is modern day story of Shakespeare in love. But this book is nowhere related to that book.

The author has introduced wide range of characters which might confuse the readers. Especially the female characters which surely gives us a tough fight to guess whose the protagonist. As we reach the end, we come to know who plays the main lead and stays throughout. I find Arjun's character really interesting. The way he changes from a completely dumbass to a casanova is mind blowing. His character makes us laugh, cry and lament at the same time. Whereas Krish has been a confidante to Arjun. The way he explains him the girl's philosophy is really interesting.

There many things covered in this book. The relationships, lust, marriage, family, friendship. It can be called shades of life. We can notice almost all the segments one experiences in his life.

I give 2 stars to “Finding Juliet” by Toffee published by Srishti.
This is an erotic, romantic story.
The story is divided in two parts. The story is divided in two parts. Arjun before meeting his guru Kartik, when all the girls fall for him but he doesn’t succeed. And Arjun 2.0 after meeting Kartik who turns him into some kind of Casanova overnight. Kartik gives gyan to Arjun about girls. Sample these:
1. So the first thing you need to know about girls is that they never directly say what they really want or how they truly feel.
2. You should never apply logic to judge a girl and instead understand her emotions. Also I want to reinforce the point that most of the time, girls don’t really mean what they say and don’t really say what she means. So you should always judge her by her action and not her words.
3. When you kiss a girl, you leave her with only two options – either she should leave you forever or she should stay with you.
Many girls come in our hero Arjun life. He is college topper with only thodi si study (who doesn’t study most of the time and spend tie flirting with girls), lyricist, hunk rolled into one, gets first job in campus etc.
This is a book for teenagers and college going students. This maybe fantasy of today’s youth. The story seems far fetched and girls are decoded in a very simplistic manner.
It can be read as a one time pass time.

Finding Juliet by Toffee is a romantic saga of a hopeless nerd Arjun, with philosophical elements in its core. Arjun believes in true love and he falls for three different girls, every time failing to attain satisfaction/happiness. Anjali is Arjun's childhood friend and stands by Arjun in his journey.

The plot took a sweet turn when Arjun moved to Bangalore from Hyderabad and met Krish. Krish leads the storyline by embedding Arjun with myriad tactics of dealing with relationships and women. All these conversations deal with a slight of philosophical touch.

The book has contended with the elements of wit and desperation for love. The character of Krish is adorable. The bromance among Krish and Arjun is portrayed wonderfully.

The language used in simple and the narration is easy to follow. The choice of words is apt and the story line appeals a reader. The book is gripping in nature and the author's fresh writing style makes it worth giving a shot.

The title is catchy and related to the story and the animated cover is appealing. A reader should expect an entertaining and light romance fiction read of the novel "Finding Juliet".

A thoroughly entertaining read!
=======================================

After a long time, I have read a fiction novel from a relatively new Indian author which really enthralled me. The first half was emotional and poignant. The second half is where the story takes 360 degree turn and the fun begins. What happens next is every guy's wildest fantasy. Yes, it's a book guys will love as it is imbued with generous helpings of steamy sex and warm bromance.
The ending was really good and things fell into place perfectly. The style of narration is very attractive and the characters are well sketched. I think many guys in my generation will find something in common with the protagonist Arjun and would dream to turn into a stud like he had.
In the end, I have a naughty question for Toffee - Can you introduce me to Esha please? ROFLMAO!

´Finding Juliet´ is written by an Indian male author, who goes by the pseudonym ´ Toffee Idiot´. The book is about a young man´s earnest quest to find true love. The pages are generously filled galore with the protagonist Arjun´s umpteen infatuations, crushes, heartaches, disappointments, embarrassing mistakes, wise learnings and a final hard truthful realisation about love.

After more than a couple of goof-ups in the matters of the heart (heartbreaks) as well as the mind (a suicide attempt), Arjun shifts from Hyderabad to Bangalore. This proves to be a major turning point in Arjun´s life when he meets the uber cool dude and chic magnet, Krish. After Krish´s persuasion, Arjun goes through a whole gamut or 360 degree transformation in himself. Needless to add, Arjun goes from ´geeky´ to ´hot and happening´ in no time.

The book definitely has its own strengths and weaknesses. Let´s talk about them!

What appealed to me most about the book was the honesty in the narrative! The story is a modern take on relationships which have become casual and frivolous in nature. Yet, we see the protagonist subconsciously longing for genuine love as he hops from relationship to another. Despite the world evolving and changing, some things are constant like true love.

Arjun is a regular Joe which makes him highly relatable. His character is flawed yet endearing. As he keep committing one mistake after the other, what makes him loveable is that he learns and gains a little piece of wisdom after every mishap. Like the death of his parents arouses in him a deep guilty realisation that he took them for granted when they were alive. He made several excuses to visit them in order to accommodate his several clandestine affairs.

One striking quality about Arjun is that he is brutally passionate and ambitious. He ardently wants to be seen as cool, popular, good-looking, a ladies´man, an intellectual, a creative artist or lyricist and so on. He wants it all! The good life, a highly successful professional career, a creative outlet for his talents, an incessant need for fame, the company of beautiful women and last but not the least, finding true love…aka Juliet.

The book is an easy, breezy read with liberal doses of Indian desi masala to spice it up. Another strength of the book is that it will highly appeal to its target audience which is a certain specific age-group ranging from 18-35 yr olds at the maximum. They will simply lap it up and relate to it. I am very sure it will strike a chord with many young single Indian men in particular - the crushes, heartbreaks, the incessant pressure to look hot, sexy and be hugely successful, the yearning for true love and companionship and more. It will also appeal to young Indian women who want to understand the India male mind or Romeo´s perspective.

In terms of its weakness, the book is very predictable and gets pretty repetitive with the introduction of every female character. You know exactly what to expect, the pattern that follows and the eventual outcome of the relationship. After many opportunists and gold-diggers along the way, guessing who Juliet is not exactly rocket science.

Another weakness is that the book might fall short in impressing a more mature individual or age group. Like say philosophical excerpts of wisdom about the female mind, love and life was amusingly amateurish.

Also, it gets tad too stereotypical filmy in terms of the character portrayal, description, references to various movie songs and lyrics. The overall inspiration behind the book seems to be Bollywood driven. So in that context, the book´s appeal is specifically limited to a certain age-group and culture.

Another minor grouse is that there are several portions in the book that offended me as woman and made me cringe. Let´s say, like rating and ranking women purely by their physical attributes totally turned me off. But again to the book´s rescue, I am aware that these things happen in real life, even in the most prestigious institutes like the Stanford University. Repetitive references of the uncomfortable and annoying ´male gaze´ was another put-off. But again, this is common among Indian men, in particular who love to ogle and stare overtly or covertly. A trait I hope Indian men will learn and realise that staring is rude and not proper etiquette.

Throughout the book´s journey, we see that Arjun is trying to understand women, life and most importantly himself. In the final chapter, we see maturity finally dawning upon Arjun as he unites with his Juliet in the end.

Overall, the book delivers on its promise. It packs in quite a punch for its target audience and will appeal to them. As for me, I enjoyed the light fluffy read mainly for its honesty and earnestness, both in its intent and efforts to entertain and inspire through the characters.

Finding Juliet is the story of Arjun who works in the IT industry. The book is about finding his one true love after going through a series of breakups.
The book started off really well because I found myself enjoying, after reading about his innocent first crush and love, and the college days. But it was the later half of the book that got on my nerves. I don't know whether the author wanted to write a teenage love story by generalizing and stereotyping girls in general, but it just didn't work out for me. The worst part was when Arjun pays heed to his colleague Krish who acts all 'Love Guru' and advices him about how to flirt, to flaunt having a girlfriend and to basically turn into a Casanova. I just could not understand for the life of me, how the author could portray that girls are always looking for sex. I found many such instances of the story, cheap and derogatory to women. Was it meant to add to the 'coolness' quotient of the story? Or is this the story of the youth of today? Then that scares me!
The story failed to impress. But I am giving three stars just because the language and editing were good.

Finding Juliet revolves around Arjun and his love life as he struggles for true love and happiness, and in the process of finding his Juliet he met many women and got dumped thrice and getting hooked with a lot of women he finally find his Juliet in his childhood friend Anjali, there was krish who helped him to understand and judge what women wants, what they say and what they show ... Toffee did try to explain women psychology as he decoded it and jolt down a Do's and Dont's list, Finding Juliet is a mix of emotional journey and lots of flashbacks. Novel is simple yet it will connect to almost every guy who will reads it on some points as for it is a story of almost every Indian Men.

All the best Toffee for future writing, this novel was great and I hope the next will be better than this.

There was a time when a single love story sufficed for a book and a person. The requirements to an exciting love story changed not in quality but with quantity. Triangle love stories turned into hexagon and octagon love stories. Now one-to-one stories with too many intersections and speed breakers make up for a “good” love story.

This book starts off on the same lines.

However, this book surprised me when it changed course and came to a stand still when it decided to become “The Handbook of understanding women and their behavior!”

That was kind of funny and at times infuriating. I was wondering, “Do girls really do that?”

If you think the book is coming to an end, you are in for a sweet surprise. The hero becomes a playboy. A geek is reborn as a flirt.

That is the moment when he witnesses that many men live a hollow life because of too much expectation from things that cannot and do not deliver.

The writing is simple, interesting and the grammatical mistakes are only present in dialogues giving it a colloquial touch rather than highlight itself as a mistake.

What a Book...
When I started this Book, I thought This must be another Love Story, a Guy...some misfortune..finally finding his Juliet.

But The way the Story progressed, Many of the Things were so relatable...so real life based that I was amazed by the skills of Toffee and his eye for details.
The Story begins with the college life of a Guy named Arjun who gets friendly with Shraddha. And everyone around him feels that Shraddha loves him but Arjun thought they were just friends. So that way He lost him when she got into relationship with someone else.. Then Similar incidents happened with him when He met Neha in his Fourth year and Saakshi when he was working. It is said "Real love is knowing someone's weakness and not taking advantage of them. Knowing their flaws and accepting who they are". This is truly quoted by someone, true love is really difficult to find.

The story revolves around "Arjun"a guy who believes in the concept of "finding true love"and he finds true love but everytime he proposes a girl he gets dejected due to their rejection, and meanwhile he lost his parents in an accident and his heart sank due to that, and during that time his childhood bestfriend "Anjali" becomes his support system and advices him to shift to Bangalore from Hyderabad to which he nodded and shifts to Bangalore.

He starts working in a company, where he meets his colleague "Krish"who inspires him to join his band "Kaagaz"and he turns into lyricist for the band and made many new friends.Krish than became his best friend as well as his customised google who would give him solutions to his problems that were mostly on woman. Krish gave him certain tips about woman psychology and complexity about woman's brain and this ends up with Arjun having 5 affairs all together, though none of them lasted longer.

Arjun's concept of true love was slowly turning into lust, but after achieving so much success in personal and professional life, still his heart was feeling abandoned. There was something missing in his life.Meanwhile Krish told him that he was going to USA, he was happy as well as sad at the same time as he would lose his bestfriend, but on his way to airport Krish poured his heart out, he told him about how he loved a girl during college and was planning to get married to and how she cheated him and he became cassanova, but yes he adviced him to wait for sometime who truly loves him and to get settled with the same girl.On the next day, the manager threw the party and he was drunk and this time Sanjay (manager) also poured his heart out about his first love and adviced him the same what Krish told him about love and after all this while the only face that flashed before his eyes was of "Anjali" who stood beside him everytime he wanted and stayed with him even after knowing the affairs he had and accepted him the way he was so finally he proposed and found the true juliet.

So "Waiting is the sign of true love and patience. Anyone can say I Love you, but not everyone can wait and prove it's love."Love is not physical attraction and lust, it's way more than that. It is compatability, promise and emotional connect.

The title was apt and so was the cover page of the book and this story will truly hold you till the end. The perfect treat for the youngsters who are confused about "Love". Go and grab your copies.

‘Finding Juliet’ is a mushy love tale, which revolves around the two main characters- Arjun and Anjali. The title of the book is fine but the plot is jaded. The cover page is interesting but the punch line is a hoodwink. The initial part of the blurb is apt but the questions posed to ignite the spark of interest in the mind of the reader, are wayward. With proper typesetting and presentation, Srishti has yet again proved that it won’t compromise with the quality of the product (referring only to the physical quality).

The book comes with several errors, typos, and missing punctuation marks. The language, no doubt, is simple and blends with the spoken language of today’s youth who prefer calling people as ‘peeps’ and because as ‘coz’. The plot is fine (although it is nothing new but college/ teen romance with some clichéd elements like liquor, girls, coquette friend, sex (lots of it) and regret). This would rather be a glimpse of ‘Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya’ and Life of our very favourite ‘Barney Stinson’.

The plot reeks of desperation and the weak personality portrayed by the male lead is something I did not quite like. There are parts which could have been made better by changing and playing with the plot a little, but the original comes as a disappointment. The book will be a good treat for the romance lovers as it is a breezy read with sections of eroticism. For me, the major turn off was the lack of vocabulary and informal tone.

Another point that I would like to highlight is the abrupt ending of the book. The plot moves at a comfortable pace but suddenly the air sends across happy vibes and the story ends.

Overall, a good effort by the author and the book can definitely be picked for a quick read.
Best wishes!

5 Stars:
The book goes on like a typical Bollywood movie - Yeah
The ending is predictable - Yeah
Too much erotica - Yeah

Still 5 Stars - Yeah!
For the way an upcoming author has written a neat and crisp story! Really impressive!
Editors should also be applauded!
For trying to understand women (almost, that is hehe).
And finally for the feel good factor - of, Love.

Suggestion: 1. Could have provided translation for the two hindi songs in the climax - for the sake of english readers. 2. And too much of drugs in the story - not wise!!

Good job yo Toffee! Keep writing good stories!

Do you know about relationship....?
Do you know about friendship.....?
Do you know about flirtationship......?
If your answer is No then please read this marvellous novel.
Many fabulous quotes in this novel which is related to life.
Many quotes is amazing in this novel.......
"Life has to be lived fully, experiencing pleasure until you find happiness. It's tricky, but in many cases, it’s only after men experience the pleasures of lust at its fullest that they begin to appreciate love at its best."
First half is totally around the emotions, feelings with college life friendship. The second half is where the story takes 360 degree turn and the fun begins. every chapter brings a new thrill and bit of suspense in the end. Author is a fan of Rajkumar Hirani it showed in few paragraph by his words which is collocated in examples of movies.
Yes this is Arjun story which is accumulation of love, lust, romance. How each girl came into his life, became friends and close friend then how it led to love but not enough. If the initial part of the book is a story about his losings the latter half is filled with victory.
Arjun story shows true meaning of friendship.
After many difficulties, arjun faced many phase of life like love, romance, and affairs with girls. In the end Anjali(Juliet) who's with him in all situations and conditions. She get her Romeo with Arjun conquests. Krish, arjun friend who's always support him with his philosophy. This novel is perfect for all teenagers and Toffe thankyou for this. Toffee writing style is different to other's.

My rating is:

Characterization:5/5
Cover:5/5
Narration:4.5/5

A good book for the ones lost in love or by love. Here you will find the each detail of a boy's life or I can say, yours love life somewhere between the pages of finding Juliet.
Arjun, a sort of geek persuing engineering and falling in and out of love again and again but not with the same girl. First comes Shraddha who was junior to him. She falls in love with Arjun. However Arjun takes time to realise and by that time it was already late because she had fallen for some other guy. Then comes Neha with whom he doesn't wait to express but he fails again. Same happens with Sakshi and Arjun is the biggest loser at the end. The biggest loss comes to him as the demise of his parents in a bomblast. Thus, he decides to leave Hyderabad when her best childhood friend Anjali ask him to and he moves to Bangalore. Arjun discovers Krish who helps Arjun to understand the way of leading a successful life or exactly a life full of pleasure.
Arjun discover a whole newself within him and soon he becomes a machine luring the girls in vicinity. Starting from Ruchika, Esha, Smita. He even get hold of Aditi his school time crush. But eventually everything turns out to be a momentary pleasure for him. There was a void he couldn't fulfil even after having a life most guys would crave for and then he learns the secret through Krish and his boss Sanjay's life. And to know the secret I recommend you to read the book. You will understand each detail when you will lead through the pages of Finding Juliet and may be it may help you find yours Juliet.

The moment you read the book name, you will wish to read it. Finding Juliet - the book is as simple as its name. The cover of this book is simple and it creates a curiosity in the minds of the readers. The blurb of the book provides an insight to the story. However, I felt that the blurb could havd been shortened. The story revolves around the protagonist, Arjun and his quest on finding a true love. The plot is crisp and the pace of the story is moderate. The narration is done in first person narrative and keeps you engaged with the book. The incidents have been narrated well and are perfectly placed within the story. I liked the way the author has named the chapters. Shifting towards the characters - Arjun is the kind of guy most of the males will relate to. Krish is the Casanova. Girls usually depise Casanovas (Inspite of being extremely attracted to them). But there's a certain aura with Krish that you'll find him lovable.
Finding Juliet is a simple story about love and friendship. It teaches you many lessons about relationships. 'Why are women the way they are?' will be the question in most of the minds. An appreciable answer is present in this book. It also teaches you the value of friendship.
Likes:
Arjun and his innocence.
Arjun's friendship with Krish and Anjali.
Arjun 2.0's relationship with the girls.
Dislikes:
The end of this story was quite predictable.
I rate:
Cover: 3.5/5
Characters: 4/5
Story: 3.5/5
My overall rating for 'Finding Juliet' is 3.5/5 stars.

My Review:

We say love is unpredictable. It happens unknowingly without telling us. But is it that way..?? Doesn't love come to our life telling us about it and we ignore it taking the person for granted.

So here I am once again to give my views on Finding Juliet by Toffee. The first page of the book says that this book is dedicated to all the romeos. This is aptly said by the author. This book is for all the lovers out there who some way or the other do not convey their feelings and have gone through turmoil of emotions and have been used by the person they love so much....or do they really love them about whom they crib about so much or is it just infatuation. To be true, god knows what goes into the mind of all the "Romeos" out there and whether they will succeed in finding their Juliet. However to find out whether Arjun finds out his Juliet or not, you need to read this beautiful and well-crafted novel by Taufeeq Ahmed.

The book cover and its title well suited the story.
Finding Juliet is very interesting story covers the well furnished characters, lucid language. Plot is quite good, easy and quick read.
Arjun is an incredibly nice guy who believes in true love and is waiting for it with open arms. He falls in love, not once or twice but thrice. And every single time, happiness-like the girls he fell for-comes very close to him before pushing him away. His only pillar of strength in all is moments of grief and dejection is his childhood friend Anjali. Dejected by the games played by girls and fate, he leaves Hyderabad for Bangalore and ends up meeting Krish, an irresistible flirt. He understands Arjun's predicament, pacifies him with his words and enlightens him about the most complicated species ever created by God-woman. And then Arjun's life changes forever.
The book covers the different human behaviours in different stages of life. The meaning of life, the meaning of relationship, the meaning of love and finally the meaning of friendship

finding Juliet is a novel penned down by Taufeeq Ahmed. The theme of the book is romance and erotica. This book is more a teenage romance where the guy Arjun falls in love three times. You read it right, he falls in love three times but every time he fails due to different reasons. He was always searching for true love in his life but he ignored the fact that love was already with him. There comes a twist in the story when Krish enters his life. He turns his life from a bicycle ride to the rollercoaster ride and after that what happens is a turning point in Arjun’s life. At last, he finds his Juliet after a long journey which was quite predictable as it happens in most romantic novels. The title Finding Juliet is appropriate with the content of the book as after constantly searching for true love he finally realizes that it was already in his life. The language of the book was simple. The cover of the book is very colorful, bright and eye – catching just like candies so just by seeing the cover you’ll want to read the inside content.
