No, no, no this cannot be the end of this book. I need the next book to know the outcome of everything that is going on. I've never read anything by this author, however I see that Wahida Clark is behind to craft. This was an enjoyable read for me, but I need more and I look forward to the author writing the next book to get the answers.

Sincerely speaking, can't Margo catch a break?
This book was quite the fast paced read for me and at some point I got so engrossed in unraveling the new twists and turns that sprung up in Margo's life that I almost lost sight of what's important to her- which is her family. The story did focus on a woman's resilience and in this case it's Margo who is wrongly accused and forced to spend six years behind bars knowing she cannot practice law because of the charges. She gets a job as a waitress, takes up some freelance writing jobs to make ends meet and when she helps Sal, a mob boss, handle a legal issue, he decides to give her a job as an advisor and help her get back on her feet. He's also attracted to her and their passion is evident from the moment they touch.
I did find the twists intriguing and they added onto Margo's personality as the fierce person she is, but the ending was just not right. I felt like I'd not received the whole book and kept swiping left hoping to get to the next paragraph but it wasn't there. I'd love to see how Margo handles everything that's piling onto her plate and if she gets the justice she deserves. Huge thanks to Wahida Clark Publishing and NetGalley for the arc, it's great to have some strong women leads in a romance novel.
