The Noru #7

Rage of Angels

"Everyone on the battlefield stops to focus on us. Both sides are too taken by the match to do anything else. Malakaro looks at me from across the circle with malice and fury. I return his gaze, matching his ire. He begins to move around the circle slowly. He addresses me in his usual calm voice. "Are you sure you're ready for this, little sis?" he asks. "Bring it..." One thing is clear: one of us will die today...

You know I really, really liked this series. But this ending was just not the ending I had hoped it would be. I mean 7 books and that's what I got. A spin-off ending. So no, the story is not over, just going to start again with new characters. I did not like how Pry and Aaden ended up together, then Bex and Diana. I mean really. Throughout the entire series those couples were just wrong for one another. Bex gave his all to Pry, Silver treated her like crap every other page. How, HOW could they end up together?
The Guardians should not have even made an appearance in this series. They should have stayed stuck in the light. For all their bad-assness they didn't do much. Marcus, a legend, died a horrible death. And I don't mean horrible like OMG he really died, no I mean horrible like he should have had a better ending. A legend died, didn't put up a fight, and didn't even say much or give much into his death. It was just over before it started really. I'll stop right here because I don't want to ramble. The series was great but I felt this ending needed to be a lot better than what it was. It had its moments but for me, I just needed it to be more.

This is the last book of the Noru series by Lola St. Vil. There is a series before this called the Guardians, which leads into the Noru Series. Even though the Guardian series is before this, this series can be read even if the reader hasn't read the series previously.

This was one of my favorite books in the Noru series. This book gives a sudden, yet thorough ending of the series. Something I love about how Lola St. Vil writes her books, she switches the point of view sporadically throughout the book.

In this book the point of view starts with Aaden (Silver) Case, then to Pryor Reese Cane, then back to Aaden (Silver) Case. Each shift of point of view happens after a book turning event and leaves this character on a cliffhanger until the other point of view continues the story from their perspective. When there is a change of point of view there is an epigraph before the new point of view starts.

One thing I didn't like about this book was the time placement in the book. The whole book is over the span of one day. All the events that happen in the book seem longer than only one day and some events seemed to drag a little even though it is supposed to be quick.

The ending is happy which is a positive contrast to the rest of the book and series. In the rest of the book and series anything that can go wrong does, but at the end of this book and series, some characters finally enjoy peace. Sadly some characters die towards the end of the book, but the characters sacrificed themselves for humanity.

In the epilogue, the readers see the lives of everyone who survived and how everything turned out for the greater good. On the very last page, the readers are left off on a cliffhanger that leads to another series after the Noru series. I like this because I really enjoyed the Noru series and now I look forward to reading about the children of the Noru.

This is a recommended book to read for mature audiences because there are some mature scenes. I also recommend reading the other series by Lola St. Vil if you enjoyed this book and series.

I have no words..oh my ominus!

Ok. So if you are reading this review I hope you have read the beginning of the noru! If you haven't, you should start with the guardian series and move to the noru. These series will take you to ride of your life. You will cry, sit on the edge and not want to stop reading while biting your nails. I truly love Lola and her writing! It is literally unbelievable but great! A book or series that makes you show all your emotions is always a great book for me!!!

Wow...this book had so much going on. I was as torn as I was in the last books, but also found some relief towards the end. I loved this book. It was really good and well written. I was really hoping for there to be an amazing HEA and there was at least for a little while...that cliffhanger seriously did some more damage to my heart. I feel for the characters. It was nice though to see how their lives turned out before the cliffhanger.
I have been in love with this series since the very first book. Although I was hoping this would be the end, because honestly my heart and soul can't take it any longer, I am also slightly happy to see how the next chapters in their lives plays out.
Great series! Worth reading... really loved it!

So in the beginning of this never ending story I was rooting for Pryor and Aaden...then I was shipping Bex and Pryor...but in the middle of that I was really digging Diana and Bex, and when it finally happens all I get is when they sleep together?! Would have been awesome to see how that whole conversation played out. I find them to be much more interesting than the main characters. Bex and Pryor were just so fake to me...I wasn't feeling it once it happened. I just really wish there was a short story on Diana and Bex.

Good

This could've been great and I would have given it more stars, but the author ruined it by choosing to leave it in a cliffhanger. Why not just end the series? I feel like the author is beating a dead horse. There was a lot of repeating storylines from the Guardian series. If you were going to start a new series with their kids, then start fresh and not follow the same story board of ideas. 😠

so good! I'm so exited for the next series 😊
this conclusion to an amazing story was so interesting and exciting. The characters are so lovable. I do think that it's weird that this bunch of teenagers are having kids and getting married and no one bats an eye. I do get that they kinda had to grow up fast but still.
The Noru was definitely an improvement to the Guardians series and if that's a pattern that will continue then I know the Toren will be awesome!

Now that I've finished the series, I don't think Randy was worth it. Think I'm mad about Swoop dying, she wanted to leave the team and she almost had love in her life (Dylan), and all that plus Key, was traded in for Randy who took the vial willingly after everything the team and him went through. Ya, Randy is my least favourite person.

Action packed and amazing!

I truly loved this series. It started out w one book that a could borrow from amazon and read for free. I was hooked. This was a book about angels and demons, but so much more. The story lines of the angels here to guard the humans was amazing. It was enjoyable to see the Noru mature and become of age. Sometimes, the fickle first Noru was irritating, but I'm glad she ended w Aaden and Bex and Diana found love. In my opinion, the writer wrapped up the loose ties in this last book very well.

There are simply not enough stars or words in the world to express how amazing this book is... and series, and the previous series.
The Noru story arc may be ended with the defeat of Malakaro, and the unfortunate loss of one of our much-loved Noru team members, but it will live on forever and ever in our hearts for being one of the most amazing stories every written.
And a surprise twist in both the final chapter and the epilogue that you will never see coming.. never in a million years.
I'm not going to spoil it, I'm going to urge you to pick up the book and find out for yourselves what massive surprises Lola uses to bring this story arc to a close.
Lola, you are truly amazing and talented and amazing and wonderful and amazing! Seriously!
Thank you for the journey. Thank you for the Noru, and the Guardians before them... from the bottom of my heart. Thank you <3

Ok but the weakest of the series

Too much misplaced and disproportionate anger issues, temper tantrums and all around situations leading nowhere. So much has been written about Sparks in the previous books and her bond with her father and totally glazed over with Summit - completely idiotic. And the line with Diana and Brad - bad taste in my mouth. No mater what Diana was always needy, promiscuous and little evil and very selfish - she didn't need to jump from one man to another while pregnant. I genuinely wanted her to grow some and be a good single mom not to go after every mab Pry had. I didn't like the fight scenes, the love scenes that much. Everything lost intensity.

A work of art

The way I am currently feeling right now is indescribable, this series as well as the guardian was truly a piece of art. These series's have truly become a big part of me and I feel I will always have a place for them in my heart. Lola should be very proud of herself as she has captured the hearts and imagination of so many people over the world with these truly amazing books. I can't wait for lola future work.

Movie Franchise!!!!!

I wish I could've gave 10 stars. The book started off with a bang as the all the books before did. I really believe a movie or series would be ratings gold I'm an adult and I am in love with these characters and all their story lines. If you are looking for non stop, edge of your seat action. Then pick up the guardian series and carry on lmbo!!! You're welcome.

Quick and easy read. The writing is simple but the story is good. Lots of action and ups and downs...I really enjoyed this book. Probably my top 2-3 of the series. The author's pretty good at getting you emotionally invested in the characters. I think that's what I like best about this series and the Guardians series. I look forward to the next series. Maybe???

This book wasn't as death ridden as talk made it seem. I actually expected a few more angels to die. That said, this book was very well written and complete. There were surprises and a few predictable events. My only disappointment is how drama filled the series is, it rings true how young the main characters are.

Fantastic Conclusion

I absolutely love Lola's books. This book did not disappoint. The Noru face their biggest challenge and no loose ends are left. The growth and development of the characters was natural as they went from teens to young adults. I'm looking forward to Lola does next.
