And Then You Wish

Rate this book
There's a possible theatre enthusiast reading public for this novel by the playwright who gave us Young Woodley, but it is primarily a woman's story about a woman, the widowed Mrs. Bowen who finds a chance to indulge her secret passion for the theatre when she meets a struggling, unrecognized playwright. She plays every card and eventually gets production for him, only to find that the reality falls short of her imaginings. Unsentimental, revealing yet sympathetic presentation. Appeal to woman audience and better type rental libraries.
