As the synopsis says, Raising Hell is a dark and humorous tale; however, I would say it’s a darkly humorous tale. Some of the humor is very dark, some is blatantly irreverent, but I loved every bit of it.

Lopez’s characters are brash and colorful and so is the dialogue. The story moves at a great pace, is full of fantastic twists, and has a good amount of action and violence. Be aware it also has a good amount of gore and extreme content, but it’s not too over-the-top compared to other extreme horror stories.

Although I am not sure how I feel about the title, I found this to be a fun and entertaining horror read and a great break from the inherently disturbing nature of most extreme horror.

This older title is still a relevant and shelf-worthy read. Highly recommended.

First book I've ever read from him and it did not disappoint.
I absolutely loved it!
What caught my attention was it's sick, crazy, sense of humor. It literally entertained the hell out of me. It was fast-paced and it could use a few more pages (especially the ending).
For me, it was rushed in a way. How the story ended was okay though it could have been better since it had so much potential. Nevertheless, the book is fantastic and overall thrilling.
So if you're looking for some quality entertainment and a good book to read, I would not hesitate to recommend you to have a go with this.

Fun romp through Hell

Raising Hell is a fast paced, silly, gory tale by Lopez. Demons, chuckles and one liners aplenty in this witty afternoon read. Check it out if anything I've just said appeals to you!

Aurelio Rico Lopez III is one of my all-time favorite writers. As in all his books, he grabs your attention from the first paragraph. This is another exceptional book - and it takes place in a very interesting place!
