A lot of people say that this book is pointless. However, I find it very helpful since it has a lot of information that I was never taught and literally did not know. I think this book is best suitable for those who had no guidance or pointers when it came to studying for college. Those whose parents did not know how or what to teach. This book is great for you.
Meh. Hardly controversial. Told you what to do, not how. How about collating thinking strategies like DeBono's Six Hats or Buzan's MindMapping as ways that extremely quickly organise your thoughts, help you structure assignments, meta-plan your study habits, and make review faster and more intuitive? Instead it regurgitates the oldies like "read the headings in the textbook first" and "stay on top of your workload".
