A country-by-country guide to eating in Britain and continental Europe, aimed at the large and ever-increasing number of vegetarians on both sides of the Atlantic. Though the main focus is on Britain, France and Germany - countries that cater most specifically for vegetarians - the guide covers all the main European vacation destinations and also includes Israel. The author features over 200 restaurants that offer the vegetarian notable quality, variety and value; while for many countries there will be a section on "vegetarian holidays" organised by a growing number of tour companies. For each country, the guide provides listings of hotels, restaurants and inns with a strong vegetarian emphasis with comment on each and a star-rating system.
