Lovely book on such magnificent creatures! Gorgeous photography. I ended up skipping several sections (mostly those on population sizes and subspecies/taxonomy) due to information being highly outdated now in 2024 as the book was published in '93.

This is a decent book by wildlife photographer Tom Brakefield showcasing the worlds big cats. I was a little put off as some of the photos are clearly of captive animals.

very informative with beautiful photos, and text that made me cry at times. A must read for big cat lovers
